WWE TLC: Charlotte Flair Returns, Wins Women’s Tag Titles and Becomes Grand Slam Champion

After Lana was taken out of action this past week on Raw by Women’s Tag Team Champions Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax, Asuka was left looking for a new partner for her TLC match.

Many women stepped forward and offered to be Asuka’s partner for the match against The Women’s Tag Team Champions, but in the end, The Empress of Tomorrow decided that The Queen was the best option.

Charlotte Flair hasn’t been seen in a WWE ring since June when she was attacked by Nia Jax and taken out of action with a “broken collar bone.”

Over the past few months, Flair has taken some time on the sidelines to relax, after a lengthy WWE run without any time away.

Flair has also undergone an elective surgical procedure and has since returned, looking like she’s in the best shape of her career.

Flair was the obvious choice to partner Asuka given her history with Jax, and in the end, was the best option since The Queen was the one who was able to win the titles for her team.

After an interesting back and forth between Charlotte and Baszler, both women looked to lock in submissions but it was Flair who hit the Natural Selection to finally become a Grand Slam Champion.
