WWE TLC: The Miz Cashes in His Money in the Bank Contract, Loses to Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre defended his WWE Championship against AJ Styles in a TLC match at WWE’s pay-per-view of the same name. Both McIntyre and Styles had their chances to climb the ladder and take the title, before The Miz and John Morrison made their way to the ring and finally the Money in the Bank contract was cashed in.

This then turned the match into a triple threat match between all three stars, since the contract was cashed in mid-match.

Miz looked as though he could win the Championship when he put Styles through a table, but Omos was on hand to ensure that Styles remained in the match.

After Omos put Miz through a table, Morrison was chased to the back after he made the decision to hit Omos with a steel chair, which left the match even.

There was a scuffle between all three men on the top of the ladder which ended with McIntyre knocking over the ladder with The Miz and Styles on and delivering a claymore to The Miz.

The Champion was then able to climb the ladder and retrieve the championship, meaning that The Miz has now become the fifth WWE superstar to unsuccessfully cash in his Money in the Bank contract.

Miz also becomes the first WWE Superstar to win the Championship with one Money in the Bank contract and lose with another.
