It was reported during the weeks leading up to WWE Greatest Royal Rumble that the World’s Largest Athlete, The Big Show was being advertised to appear in the first-ever 50-Man Royal Rumble Match. However just a week before WWE’s Pay-Per-View event in Saudi Arabia, Big Show was pulled off advertisements.
On the recent podcast with Stone Cold Steve Austin this week, Big Show revealed the reason behind pulling himself out of the Greatest Royal Rumble event. There was a hole in the surgical scar where Show was cut open from his recent hip surgery.
“They wound up cutting it open and exercising the hard infection. Then they did an open wound treatment which was all superficial”, said The Giant. He further mentioned calling CEO of WWE, Vince McMahon to inform him why he would not be able to travel, especially out of the country because the flight could make the hole in his leg bigger.
The World’s Largest Athlete also said that the hole began closing up after 4 days whereupon he felt ready to attend the event but was asked by COO of WWE, Triple H to instead rest at home and not risk his health for the event. Show expressed his gratitude to Vince McMahon and Triple H for their concern regarding his health since he was ready to hop on a flight to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Big Show also talked about his 3-year new deal with WWE which he signed in January, 2018. Show has been out of action since September 2017 after undergoing a hip surgery.
