WWE Working on a Special Event for Indian Superstars Starting 2021

Over the years, India has proved to be a strong fanbase for WWE. Not only has WWE sent Superstars for regular visits to the nation, but the company has also launched a special broadcast program and YouTube channel to cater to the Indian audience.

Now, the billion-dollar promotion is working on a special event for Indian Superstars that will air in India and the United States starting next year.

President & Chief Revenue Officer of WWE, Nick Kahn revealed the following during the latest quarterly earnings conference call.

“We are excited to now be working with our content partner in India, Sony, on a 2021 event that will primarily feature our developing Indian Superstars. That event will air in India on the Sony Platforms and will also be distributed domestically in the United States.”

Earlier this year, WWE signed three Indian talents, of which two are 7ft tall giants trained by former World Champion, The Great Khali, namely, Gurvinder Singh (7’), Sukhwinder Grewal (7’2”), and Laxmi Kant Rajpoot.
