Plans for WWE Live Event on July 7, 2018 at the Madison Square Garden have come across a few changes. Roman Reigns vs. Jinder Mahal was the original billed main event for the “return to MSG” show. However, WWE is now replacing the previously planned main event with a Triple Threat Match for the Intercontinental Championship featuring reigning Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins, Finn Balor and Elias.

Previously, it was announced that The Undertaker would be making his return to the Madison Square Garden for the first time in 8 long years, so the possibility of The Phenom squaring off against Mahal remains. It is unlikely that WWE will hold another Undertaker vs. Reigns following the WrestleMania 33 mishap. Although Mahal and Reigns are scheduled for the Live Event, they are no longer listed in a match together.

The Madison Square Garden website still lists Nia Jax vs. Ronda Rousey for the RAW Women’s Championship.

Other names that have been advertised to appear on the show:

Braun Strowman, Bobby Lashley, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Bobby Roode, Sasha Banks, Alexa Bliss, Bayley, Dolph Ziggler, Matt Hardy, and Bray Wyatt.
