Zack Ryder has been part of WWE now for more than a decade now and was only able to hear his music played at WrestleMania 32 when he lifted the Intercontinental Championship. Sadly the dream ended just a day later when The Miz defeated Ryder and took away his title on RAW.

The former Champion has been overlooked for most of his career so his most recent run hasn’t surprised him at all.

Ryder recently appeared on Lilian Garcia’s Chasing Glory podcast where he opened up about not being included on RAW this past week.

“At the end of the day, like right now with Monday Night RAW, I am not being used, he said via Wrestlinginc. “Can I cry about it or can I be grateful and say that I am still here. I mean, you can go to a toy store and buy a Zack Ryder action figure today so my life can definitely be a lot worse.

“What am I going to do, sit around and be bitter? I hate when people do that. Like, poor me. Come on, we’re here in WWE. Can things be better? Yes! But they can be so much worse. I am not a super positive person, but come on. You have to look at yourself in the mirror. Trust me, there have been times where I have been bitter, but what does it solve? Nothing.”

Ryder has gone through long periods of his career where he hasn’t been used on WWE TV but the company has always pulled him back into the loop when needed, so he is able to remain positive about his situation because being overlooked is not new to him.
