The second installment of New Year’s Smash aired this week on Dynamite on TNT

1. PAC def. Eddie Kingston

Both the superstars came out with their entourage. The Bunny got involved but PAC overcame and eventually hit the Black Arrow to pick up the win in the opening encounter.

Post Match, PAC applied the Brutalizer and tried to inflict more damage, as Butcher/Blade and Fenix/Penta got involved. Lance Archer hit the ring and cleared out everyone, and warned PAC to get on the same page as him.

2. Miro def. Chuck Taylor

Miro won the match in quite a quick fashion, after locking in his trademark submission maneuver. Taylor will have to be Miro’s butler for the next month until Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford get married.

Backstage: Private Party seemed to be frustrated at Matt Hardy taking 30% of their wages as their manager, but Hardy promised to make them a bigger deal in AEW

3. Crack in the Circle?

The Inner Circle hit the ring and made their New Year resolutions. Jericho vowed to win the tag titles with MJF, much to the displeasure of Santana/Ortiz who wanted the belts for themselves. Jericho declared a triple threat tag team match featuring himself/MJF, Santana/Ortiz, and Guevara/Hager for next week, with the winner being the official team of the Inner Circle.

4. Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers def Varsity Blondes and Danny Limelight

Don Callis asked Kenny Omega to do his own entrance and not with the Young Bucks ahead of their match. Before the match started, Callis announced Good Brothers as Omega’s partners, which left Young Bucks annoyed in the back.

Omega and Good Brothers warmed up ahead of their match at Hard to Kill by taking down the babyfaces easily. Gallows and Anderson hit the magic killer on Limelight to secure the three-count.

Post Match, Jon Moxley attacked the winners, before the numbers game got to him. Penta and Fenix leveled the odds, as the entire locker-room started to fill in the ring. Penta and Fenix delivered superkicks to Young Bucks, as Omega made his exit with Callis.

5. The Waiting Room

Britt Baker’s ‘The Waiting Room’ segment aired with Cody as the guest. Baker made some jokes before Jade Cargill interrupted. Cargill dissed Cody and his wife Brandi Rhodes before Red Velvet came in and a brawl broke out. The entire Women’s locker-room poured out to separate the two.

A video aired with Thunder Rosa announcing her match with Britt Baker at Beach Break next month, which left Baker frustrated.

6. FTR def. Jurassic Express

Marko Stunt and Jungle Boy frustrated the former tag champions for a while, but some interference from Tully Blanchard proved enough, as FTR hit the Big Rig on Stunt to win the bout.

7. NWA Women’s Championship | Serena Deeb(c) def. Tay Conti

The young Brazilian took on the veteran, but couldn’t come out on top, as Deeb retained her title after hitting the detox for the three-count.

8. AEW TNT Championship | Darby Allin(c) def. Brian Cage

Cage dominated the majority of the match, as he relentlessly attacked the much smaller frame of Allin. The champion made a comeback, but it was halted and interruptions from Hook and Ricky Starks at ringside didn’t help. Sting appeared out of nowhere and hit Starks with his bat, allowing Allin to hit the Crucifix Bomb on Cage for the win.
