AEW Dynamite Results July 29, 2020

AEW Dynamite featured the debut of Matt Cardona, formerly known as Zack Ryder, along with a tag team main event match, and more.

Best Friends, Luchasaurs and Jungle Boy def. The Inner Circle:
The show kicked off with a huge ten-man tag team encounter as the babyfaces picked up the win after a distraction for Matt Hardy allowed Luchasaurus to take Guevara down with a Chokeslam.

Jon Moxley cut a promo on Brian Cage and Ricky Starks and wondered if they are man enough to face him with the odds evened up.

TNT Championship | Cody(c) def. Warhorse:
Cody maintained his streak of TNT Championship victories by taking on the indie star Warhorse with the Figure Four submission.

Post-match, John Silver and Alex Reynolds of Dark Order attacked the champion before a debuting Matt Cardona made the save and announced his arrival on Dynamite.

FTR’s official contract signing segment is revealed as they roped in Arn Anderson as their supervisor. They announced August 12 as appreciation night.

AEW World Tag Team Championship | Hangman Page and Kenny Omega(c) def. Stu Grayson and Evil Uno:
The champions kept their differences aside and took out the Dark Order members with the Last Call.

A frustrated Brodie Lee ordered his minions to attack the champions and the Young Bucks, before FTR made the save and cleared out the ring.

Britt Baker revealed that Big Swole will get a match against her if she manages to defeat an opponent of Baker’s choice.

Hikaru Shida def. Diamante:
The champion picked up an easy victory with a running knee strike in the non-title match.

AEW Women’s Tag Team tournament rules are announced as Nyla Rose draws former WWE star Cameron as her partner.

MJF cut a lengthy promo dissing Jon Moxley and called himself the face of All Elite Wrestling. MJF went on to challenge Moxley for the championship at AEW All Out.

Jon Moxley and Darby Allin def. Brian Cage and Ricky Starks:
Taz announced that Allin won’t be at the venue before he made his arrival and dropped his opponents with a Coffin Drop. The babyfaces won the match after Allin stomped on Starks with a skateboard filled with thumbtacks, on his back.
