AEW Dynamite Results June 17, 2020

Here are the AEW Dynamite results for June 17, 2020. This week’s AEW Dynamite featured Tag Team Title defense, TNT Championship open challenge, new talent debut and more.

AEW Dynamite results:

AEW Tag Team Championship | Kenny Omega and Adam Page def. Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall:
A long encounter to start off the show saw the champs retain after hitting the Buckshot Lariat and V-Trigger combo on Marshall.

The Star of The Show, Anna Jay, talked about how she got into wrestling in a pre-recorded video and said she wants to give a performance everyone remembers.

Abadon def. Anna Jay:
A debuting and scary looking Abadon ended up defeating Jay in a quick match with the step-up hurricanrana for the pinfall victory.

Post-match, Jay was helped to the back by the Dark Order, who also delivered an envelope to Colt Cabana at ringside.

MJF def. Billy Gunn:
Wardlow handed MJF his ring, who delivered a shot to the veteran star for the win and then tucked the ring back in his trunks.

Post-match, MJF and Wardlow got into an altercation with the Jungle Express until they were broken up by the other wrestlers at ringside.

Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara expressed their frustrations with Orange Cassidy, vowed to take down the Best Friends in the main event.

Britt Baker’s interview with Tony Schiavone was interrupted after Big Swole drove Baker off.

Cody Rhodes made his entrance for the Open Challenge and wondered whether he belonged to the Nightmare Family or the Elite. Former NWA Television Champion Ricky Starks cut a promo and introduced himself as Rhodes’ next challenger.

TNT Championship | Cody Rhodes def. Ricky Starks:
The debuting star showed a lot of grit, but Rhodes delivered the Cross-Rhodes for the pinfall victory. The duo had a show of respect post-match.

The Young Bucks def. Kip Sabian and Jimmy Havoc:
A brutal high-flying encounter saw the Bucks take the win after delivering knee strikes to Sabian.

Post-match, Butcher and Blade tried to attack the winners but FTR made the save. FTR and Bucks delivered spike piledrivers onto the heels to end the segment.

Tazz and Brian Cage talked about destroying Moxley at Fyter Fest. Moxley retaliated with a haunting promo of his own.

Britt Baker was thrown in a dumpster by Swole, as Reba helped her out of the predicament. Baker promised to take down Swole.

Best Friends def. Le Sex Gods:
Trent and Chuck Taylor retained their No.1 contendership with a pinfall win over the Inner Circle members.

Post-match, Orange Cassidy attacked Chris Jericho as the commentary confirmed Cassidy vs Jericho at Fyter Fest.
