AEW Dynamite hit a high of one million viewers last week, and the follow-up show had some big matches on the card.
FTR def. Jungle Express
The show kicked off with FTR taunting Young Bucks, and going on to defeat the Jungle Express with some help from Tully Blanchard in this non-title matchup.
Backstage: Private Party checked on Matt Hardy who was laid out, presumably after an attack from Chris Jericho and Jake Hager.
Hangman Page def. Frankie Kazarian
The tag-match was changed to a singles match due to Kenny Omega leaving the tag-division. Page and Kazarian produced a great match with Page hitting the Buckshot Lariat for the win, as Omega watched on from the commentary table.
MJF def. Shawn Dean
MJF picked up the win in a few seconds with the eye-poke followed by Fujiwara Armbar.
Post-match, MJF declared himself as the uncrowned AEW Champion and teased joining a stable on Dynamite.
Family of Violence
Eddie Kingston brought his stable to the ring and declared they are a family.
Kingston then ordered them to beat up some guys at ringside, and finally asked Blade to patch things up with Allie, who is currently in the Nightmare Family.
Chris Jericho and Jake Hager def. Private Party
Chris Jericho and Hager continued their run in the tag-team division by taking down the Private Party. Jericho hit the Judas Effect on Kassidy for the win.
Post-match, Jericho continued the assault, before Quen dropped him with a kick. Hager and Jericho retreated to the back.
NWA Women’s Championship: Thunder Rosa(c) def. Ivelisse:
Rosa retained her title successfully after hitting Ivelisse with the Tombstone Piledriver for the pinfall.
Post-match, Diamante attacked Rosa but Hikaru Shida made the save for the NWA Champion.
Backstage: Miro was seen lifting weights at the gym, and he decided to throw a bachelor party for Kip Sabian.
The New Guy Saves the Champ
Lance Archer and Jake Roberts entered in a partnership with Taz, who agreed to let Archer team up with Brian Cage and Ricky Starks, provided Cage gets a title shot after Archer wins the AEW World Championship.
Jon Moxley was blindsided by Cage and Starks, until AEW’s newest signing, Will Hobbs, made the save.
Parking Lot Match: Best Friends def. Santana and Ortiz
In a wild match, Best Friends ended up winning after Trent dropped Ortiz through a sheet of wood into a truck bed for the three-count.
