Continuing their trends of presenting Dynamite specials, AEW held a Winter is Coming episode, with a snowy themed Daily’s Place hosting this week’s show.

Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale

Current holder of the Diamond Ring, MJF cut a promo prior to the match, stating that only a member of Inner Circle should win the matchup. Hangman Page and Dark Order members seemed aligned at first, with Page being saved by them. Miro took out a few guys, leaving the final five to Inner Circle (MJF, Wardlow, Guevara), Miro, and Jungle Boy.

The three members teamed up to take out Miro. MJF sneakily eliminated JB and Sammy and thought that it was just him and Wardlow as the winners. Wardlow brought in Orange Cassidy, who was never eliminated. Cassidy ran wild and ended up eliminating Wardlow. Cassidy vs MJF will take place next week to determine the winner.

Post-match, Best Friends celebrated with Cassidy but Miro was not at all happy.

Chris Jericho def. Frankie Kazarian

Kazarian tried his best to take down the former AEW Champion but ended up short. MJF ran in with a white towel but Guevara snatched it away from him. Jericho looked at Guevara with the towel and was confused for a while but ended up picking up the win with a Judas Effect.

Post-match, Guevara and MJF continued their fight, and Jericho ordered them to resolve their issues before next week, or else Inner Circle will be dissolved forever.

Backstage: The Young Bucks were interviewed where they said that if TH2 manages to defeat them next week, they will get a title shot. The Acclaimed showed up and confronted the brothers before TH2 blindsided the champions. Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian made the save.

Britt Baker def. Leyla Hirsch

Baker, with some help from Reba, took down Hirsch. Baker delivered a neckbreaker followed by the lockjaw submission for the win.

Post-match, Thunder Rosa entered and attacked Baker. Reba tried to make the save but got hit by a suplex from Hirsch.

Darby Allin and Cody def. Powerhouse Hobbs and Ricky Starks

The heels worked on Allin for a while before Cody took the hot-tag and ran wild. After Cody’s assault, Allin tagged himself back in and delivered the Coffin Drop on Starks for the win.

Sting is Here: Post-match, Hobbs and Starks attacked the winners and Arn Anderson. Dustin Rhodes and Brian Cage got involved as well. Hobbs was about to hit Cody with the FTW belt, before the lights went out and Sting entered the scene with his baseball bat! The heels retreated as Sting entered the ring and stared down Arn, Dustin, Cody and Allin.

Backstage: Hikaru Shida said that she is not afraid of Abadon. A loud noise scared her, but she ended up leaving the scene.

Jon Moxley cut a promo, saying that the day has felt like a holiday. He called Kenny and himself the two best wrestlers in the world, and they would create magic in the ring.

AEW World Championship | Kenny Omega def. Jon Moxley(c)

A fantastic long encounter in the main-event saw Omega dethrone the champion. Moxley delivered two Paradigm Shifts but couldn’t close the chapter. After Moxley dropped Omega on the concrete, Don Callis, who was on commentary for the match, came to Omega’s aid and asked the referee to call off the match.

Moxley attacked Callis, and his microphone landed in Omega’s hands. Omega hit Moxley with the microphone, busting him open. Omega hit multiple v-triggers followed by the One-Winged Angel to win the title.

Post-match, Callis and Omega headed out of the arena and Callis said that all questions will be answered next week on Impact Wrestling on AXS TV!
