WWE Friday Night SmackDown Results June 19, 2020

Here are your WWE Friday Night SmackDown results from June 19, 2020. This week’s show featured the main roster debut of Matt Riddle, the return of Bray Wyatt and The Firefly Fun House, and more.

WWE SmackDown Results:

Renee Young welcomed the new Intercontinental Champion AJ Styles as he gloated on his recent victory over Daniel Bryan. Styles invited Bryan to put the title around his waist.

Bryan asked Styles to defend the title against the likes of Big E, Shorty G, and Drew Gulak, but he refused. Matt Riddle interrupted the celebration, leading to a non-title match.

Matt Riddle def. AJ Styles:
Riddle picked up a major victory over the Phenomenal One, after an altercation with Bryan led to Riddle dropping Styles with the Bro-Derek for the win.

Jeff Hardy talked about his past issues backstage with Young and said that he is not done with Sheamus yet after his loss at Backlash.

Shorty G was mocked by Mojo Rawley backstage, but G dropped him with a big right.

The former Tag Champion picked up a quick win over Rawley with a German Suplex.

The Miz and John Morrison brought out Mandy Rose for the latest edition of Miz TV and also invited Sonya Deville as a surprise guest. Deville and Rose traded verbal jabs before indulging in a feisty encounter, which ended with the Miz getting slapped by Rose.

The New Day def. Lucha House Party:
The champions took the victory in this non-title match with the Midnight Hour, but were immediately blindsided by Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro.

The entire Women’s Division of blue brand discussed the situation about Bayley-Banks backstage, as Lacey Evans declared herself the next challenger.

Nikki Cross attacked Sasha Banks and Bayley who were on commentary and demanded a match against Banks.

Banks picked up a victory against the Scottish star with the Meteora.

Bray Wyatt returned with a new Firefly Fun House episode only to be interrupted by the Universal Champion Braun Strowman. Strowman told Wyatt that he won’t be getting any more chances after his loss at Money in the Bank last month.

Wyatt brought back his Eater of The Worlds gimmick and seemingly invited Strowman for a Wyatt Compound match.
