WWE Monday Night Raw Results, August 24, 2020

Drew McIntyre opened the post-Summerslam episode of RAW with a promo on how he showed Orton’s true colors. McIntyre challenged Orton to another match before he was blindsided by the Viper who delivered two punt kicks to the head.

Nia Jax made her return after suspension, and traded a few a jabs with Shayna Baszler who welcomed her back.

Shayna Baszler def. Bayley by DQ: Baszler ended up picking the win after Nia Jax interrupted the match, holding Baszler back from entering the ring.

Post-match, Baszler and Jax got to blows as Sasha Banks and Bayley smiled at ringside. However, Baszler and Jax quickly turned their attention to the duo and chased them away.

Kevin Owens found Aleister Black’s room backstage and reminded him of his appearance on The Kevin Owens Show.

Aleister Black made his return to RAW after a month, as a guest on Kevin Owens’ show, where Owens talked about their recent troubles with Seth Rollins. Black didn’t speak anything and ended up delivering a Black Mass to KO.

Fatal 4 Way for 24/7 Championship | Akira Tozawa def. Shelton Benjamin(c), Cedric Alexander and R-Truth: Tozawa’s ninjas helped him roll-up Truth to win the title.

Randy Orton entered the ring and said despite his loss he is still the Legend Killer. Orton was interrupted by the debuting Keith Lee who introduced himself and challenged Orton to a match, but Orton backed off.

Backstage, Zelina Vega refused to admit that she poisoned Montez Ford as Angel Garza flirted with Charly Caruso and Demi Burnett.

Montez Ford def. Angel Garza: Garza brought Burnett with him to the ring, but Ivar took her away, which provided the distraction for Ford to pick up the win.

Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler talked about capturing the tag-team titles, as tensions refused to boil down between the two.

Bianca Belair, Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan def. The IIconics and Zelina Vega: Belair led her team to victory after hitting the KOD on Vega for the three-count.

MVP walked up to Ricochet and Cedric Alexander backstage and once again tried to recruit Alexander by speaking ill about Ricochet.

Mark Henry officiated the arm-wrestling contest between Bobby Lashley and Apollo Crews, which Crews won after kicking Lashley under the table. Crews avoided the attack of Hurt Business and a furious Lashley.

Rey Mysterio put over his son and said that he made a name for himself at SummerSlam and will become a huge star in the future.

Lana and Natalya did their annoying shtick in the middle of the ring before Mickie James interrupted and attacked both the superstars.

Raw Underground: The Hurt Business entered the RAW Underground, as Lashley took down Dolph Ziggler and an enhancement talent, with Benjamin and MVP also taking out their frustration.

Randy Orton def. Keith Lee by DQ: Lee’s debut match was marred by Drew McIntyre’s interference who attacked Orton for a DQ finish.

Randy Orton once again kicked McIntyre in the head backstage, as doctors confirmed a serious head injury to the WWE Champion.

Lumberjack Match for RAW Women’s Championship | Asuka(c) def. Sasha Banks: Entire RAW roster got invovled in some fashion, before Asuka retained the title with the Asuka Lock.

Keith Lee was disappointed after McIntyre’s interference, but said he is his friend and brushed it off.

The Hurt Business continued to attack people on RAW Underground with the Viking Raiders being the latest victim.

Rey Mysterio and Dominik vs. Seth Rollins and Murphy: The main-event was interrupted by RETRIBUTION who attacked Rey and his son, as Rollins and Murphy retreated.
