The special edition of NXT opened with the host Shotzi Blackheart on the stage with a saw in her hand.

Devil’s Playground Match for NXT North American Championship: Johnny Gargano def. Damian Priest (c)

Blackheart spun the wheel and it landed on Devil’s Playground matchup for the two individuals. Damian Priest dominated with his huge physical advantage, but Gargano managed to survive.

Priest went for his finisher, but a man with a scream mask, possibly Austin Theory, attacked him with a steel pipe. A shocked Gargano dropped Priest with a DDT, followed by hitting him a tombstone offered by the mystery man to win the match.

Backstage: A matchup with Dexter Lumis made Cameron Grimes nervous, but William Regal forced him to go out for his match.

The New Undisputed Kings

Pat McAfee hit the ring with his new buddies, tag champions Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch. McAfee trash-talked Undisputed Era before Kyle O’Reilly entered the proceedings. Pete Dunne made his shocking return to NXT and seemed to aid O’Reilly, before turning on him and joining McAfee’s faction.

Backstage: Cameron Grimes kept on insisting that he doesn’t wanna fight Lumis. Regal took him outside to a van, which was driven by WWE Hall of Famer Michael Hayes.

NXT Cruiserweight Championship Match: Santos Escobar(c) def. Jake Atlas

A charged-up Atlas tried to take down the champion, but distractions from Raul Mendonza and Joaquin Wilde proved too much for him, as Escobar ended up winning the match with the Phantom Driver.

Haunted House of Terror Match: Dexter Lumis vs. Cameron Grimes

Grimes entered the spooky house and was frightened by several objects and zombie-like creatures. Lumis hid in a tree for a while and attacked Grimes later on, who was freaked out by a zombie girl. The zombie girl got on Grimes’ back as he tried to shake her off.

Several zombie wrestlers started creeping up, as Grimes ran to the van. On seeing Lumis in the driver seat, Grimes hastily exited.

Rhea Ripley def. Raquel Gonzalez

The big hoss fight between the two stars who have been at odds for months finally took place, with Rhea coming out on top. The former NXT Women’s Champion prevented a powerbomb attempt and hit the Riptide to secure the pinfall.

Backstage: Drake Maverick, dressed as Hulk Hogan, did some impressions before two stars dressed as Giant and Mummy tried to squish him. Killian Dain dressed as the Shockmaster came in and the duo did some comedic bits to end the segment.

Part 2 of Haunted House of Terror Match: Dexter Lumis def. Cameron Grimes

Grimes was brought to the ring by the several zombies, where Lumis joined him too. The duo had a proper wrestling match for a while before the zombies got too much of Grimes. Lumis ended up applying the Silence submission, and Grimes passed out to give Lumis the win in the unique matchup.

Backstage: Tommaso Ciampa expressed his frustrations with the current state of the NXT roster, and had harsh words for Velveteen Dream.

Tables, Ladders and Scares Match for NXT Women’s Championship: Io Shirai (c) def. Candice LeRae

Shotzi Blackheart spun the wheel, and it landed on quite a unique stipulation for the match. Shirai and LeRae produced a spectacular encounter in the main event, with the use of some interesting foreign objects.

The finish saw the mysterious person from earlier come down to the ring, but he/she was taken out by Blackheart. It allowed Shirai to climb up the ladder and win the match.
