This week’s NXT opened with NXT Champion Adam Cole hyping up the main-event featuring Keith Lee, Tommaso Ciampa and Finn Balor. Cole said that none of them deserves a title shot, and his run is nowhere near the end.

NXT Cruiserweight Championship: Angel Garza def. Lio Rush(c): The two individuals continued their trend of spectacular matches on NXT TV, with the third-generation superstar coming out on top in their latest installment. Garza applied the Full Nelson for a Submission victory to become the new NXT Cruiserweight Champion.

Post-match, Garza celebrated with his girlfriend and proposed to her in the middle of the ring. She said ‘Yes’ and the Full Sail arena went wild.

Raul Mendonza def. Cameron Grimes: Mendonza took advantage of a distraction by Kushida to pick up a surprise victory over Grimes.

Travis Banks def. Jaxson Ryker: NXT UK Superstar Banks defeated Ryker in a preview of the upcoming Worlds Collide tournament between NXT and NXT UK. Post-match, Ryker’s buddies from the Forgotten Sons tried to take down Banks but he managed to escape.

Dakota Kai def. Mia Yim: The recently turned heel Kai took on Yim, whom she had taken out during War Games. Kai picked up a roll-up victory after sending Yim into the turnbuckle.

Post-match, Yim chased down Kai and sent her through two tables backstage and stood tall to end the segment.

Breezango def. The Singh Brothers: Tyler Breeze and Fandango took up an easy win over the Singh Brothers after delivering double team maneuvers.

Bianca Belair def. Kayden Carter: In a fun back and forth matchup, Belair overcame Carter after hitting a Spear, followed by KOD for the pinfall.

Finn Balor def. Tommaso Ciampa and Keith Lee: The main-event featured a three-way matchup to determine the number one contender for Adam Cole’s NXT Championship. The three superstars produced an excellent matchup with the Full Sail arena on their feet for the majority of the bout. Balor won the match after hitting the Coup de Grace on Keith Lee.

Balor and The Undisputed Era stared down each other to end the show.
