Keith Lee opened up the show in a pre-recorded video, as he relinquished his North American Championship to give opportunities for other superstars. William Regal announced a Ladder Match for Takeover: XXX, with a series of triple threats qualifiers taking place over the next few weeks.

Dexter Lumis def. Killian Dain:
The two big men opened up the matches for the night as Lumis picked up the win after Dain passed out following a submission maneuver.

Roderick Strong, Bronson Reed and Johnny Gargano exchanged words before their triple threat qualifier. Another segment saw Dakota Kai taunt NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai.

Breezango def. Ever Rise:
The two charismatic superstars picked up the victory after hitting their opponents with superkicks. Breezango were dressed as the mountie for the match.

A fired-up Dominik Dijakovic promised to take revenge for last week, and leave Karrion Kross unconscious in the main event.

Shotzi Blackheart def. Aliyah:
Blackheart overcame the distractions by Robert Stone and picked up the victory with a senton.

Post-match, Blackheart ran over Robert Stone with her mini-tank, before Mercedes Martinez attacked her out of nowhere. Martinez stared at Stone and Aliyah before making her exit.

A new video package aired for Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott, who promised to dethrone Santos Escobar as the NXT Cruiserweight Champion.

Bronson Reed def. Johnny Gargano and Roderick Strong:
A fantastic triple threat matchup saw Reed pick up a surprise win, after delivering a huge splash to the former champion, Strong. Reed advanced to his first Takeover match, booking his spot in the Ladder match for the vacant North American title.

Timothy Thatcher def. Oney Lorcan:
The two hard-hitters competed in a rematch from The Great American Bash, with Thatcher once again coming out on top with a unique pinning predicament.

Mercedes Martinez walked up to Robert Stone and Aliyah and asked Stone to be her manager. Stone gladly accepted and shook hands to confirm the deal.

Karrion Kross def. Dominik Dijakovic:
Kross made Keith Lee watch his best friend suffer, as he applied the Kross Jacket submission on Dijakovic, as his opponent passed out. Kross and Scarlett looked on as Lee and several referees checked on Dijakovic.
