After last week’s Halloween Havoc special which led to NXT winning over AEW Dynamite for the first time in weeks, things resumed to normal at the Capitol Wrestling Center.

Dakota Kai def. Ember Moon

The duo battled in the ring after their recent tussles. Kai along with her enforcer Raquel Gonzalez took down the former champion with the GTK for the three-count.

Backstage: Cameron Grimes was still terrified from last week’s match against Dexter Lumis, as he looked to shake his demons off before facing Kushida.

Backstage: Shotzi Blackheart was excited before her match against Toni Storm. Blackheart picked Storm as her opponent to test herself after William Regal gave her the opportunity to pick an opponent following her impressive hosting assignment last week.

Kushida def. Cameron Grimes

A visibly shaken Grimes wrestled in fear against Kushida. Some solid action was on display, and the referee got knocked out towards the end. A new referee, who played a zombie last week, entered the ring. This creeped out Grimes who submitted to the Hoverboard Lock.

Backstage: Toni Storm said that Blackheart made a mistake choosing her, as Storm is back with a new persona in the company and is looking to reach the top of the division.

Ever-Rise vs. Drake Maverick and Killian Dain

The rematch from last month couldn’t get completed as the Kings of NXT (Pat McAfee, Oney Lorcan, Danny Burch, and Pete Dunne) hit the ring and attacked Dain and Maverick.

Kings of NXT: McAfee took the mic and asserted that they are new kings of the brand, and dissed The Undisputed Era. Pete Dunne spoke about Roderick Strong’s betrayal, and how he took revenge for it last week.

The group burnt the rafters of The Undisputed Era and celebrated their way to the back. Killian Dain tried to attack them but was overpowered and left in the parking lot as the group made their exit from the arena.

Promo: Johnny Gargano cut a promo from his home about how he made history by becoming 2-time North American Champion. The mystery man from Halloween Havoc was shown sitting in his kitchen, as the duo did some comedy.

Toni Storm def. Shotzi Blackheart

Blackheart’s mini-tank went missing as she made her entrance. Towards the end of the match, Candice LeRae appeared on the big screen with the tank and caught Blackheart’s attention. This led to Storm taking advantage and dropping Blackheart for the win.

LeRae was angry after Blackheart cost her the title match at Halloween Havoc last week. LeRae ran over the tank with her car, leaving Blackheart teary-eyed in the ring. Storm tried to console Blackheart, as LeRae and the mystery person drove off.

Backstage: Legado del Fantasma arrived at the arena but were attacked by Jake Atlas, who hit Raul Mendonza with a tire iron. Atlas drove away before the rest of the group could get to him.

Backstage: Timothy Thatcher’s latest training session saw him take out two of his students before Anthony Greene attacked him. Greene, now going by August Grey, was attacked by Thatcher during the training session recently.

Backstage: Xia Li was questioned on the recent letters she has received, but she refused to disclose the details. William Regal handed her a new letter, and she demanded a match against Raquel Gonzalez after reading it.

Tommaso Ciampa def. The Velveteen Dream

An angry Ciampa dished out a beating to Dream and ended up winning the match after hitting the Willow’s Bell followed by the Fairytale Ending, in the only clean finish of the night.
