WWE Raw Results and Highlights
Kick-Off Segment: Randy Orton opened the show with footage of his recent interactions with Edge and Matt Hardy amidst “you suck” chants. Hardy showed up sporting a neck brace, and what followed was another brutal, disturbing segment of The Viper victimizing the multi-time tag team champion.
Orton issued an apology to Matt and Edge before unleashing a brutal assault on Hardy. An RKO followed by plenty of chair shots ensured Hardy never made it to his feet again. Orton went for a Con-Chair-To but changed his mind and used the chair to smash Hardy’s head on the steel steps not once but twice to bring the segment to a close.
Aleister Black def. Erick Rowan: Big Red finally met his match in the former NXT Champion but failed to put him away as The Anti-Hero delivered two consecutive Black Mass to score the pinfall victory.
Charlotte Flair Promo: Flair addressed her assault on Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair from NXT TakeOver: Portland. The Queen reiterated how her class laid the foundation for a third brand in WWE and now Ripley has the audacity to come over on RAW and raise the very NXT Women’s Title that she had put on the map. Flair issued a warning to Ripley for their title match at WrestleMania 36 before making her exit.
WWE 24/7 Championship Triple Threat | Riddick Moss def. R-Truth and Mojo Rawley: R-Truth hit a Five Knuckle Shuffle but failed to connect with the Attitude Adjustment as Rawley recovered and drove him into the mat. Moss capitalized on the opportunity and pinned Rawley to retain.
Post-match, Moss fled with the title and R-Truth sent Rawley packing.
Drew McIntyre def. MVP: Prior to the match, McIntyre cut a brief promo on how Suplex City is located in Claymore Country in the present scenario as he vowed to dethrone Brock Lesnar on April 5th. Paul Heyman walked out and had a brief exchange of words with Drew before introducing MVP.
MVP entered the ring addressing last week’s VIP Lounge segment with Drew; the veteran delivered a cheap shot and landed a big Yakuza Kick on the Sexy Scotsman.
McIntyre completely squashed MVP as soon as the referee had rung the bell; he rallied the crowd for the 3-2-1 countdown and planted the veteran with a devastating Claymore Kick to pick up the victory.
Becky-Baszler Promo: Becky Lynch hit the ring with a paper bag and took out a bunch of paper money referring to the same as the down payment on violence. The Man asked WWE to take the money as a fine for what she would do to Shayna Baszler the next time they cross paths.
Baszler appeared on the titantron and declared that she would win the Elimination Chamber and challenge Lynch for the RAW Women’s Championship at WrestleMania. Becky vowed to keep a keen eye on the Chamber match and made her exit.
Angel Garza & Bobby Lashley def. Humberto Carrillo & Rusev: Rusev almost had the match won but Garza rolled him up outta nowhere to score the victory for his team.
Post-match, Rusev blindsided Garza and sent him to the floor as Lashley and Lana posed on the stage.
Kairi Sane def. Natalya via countout: Sane kicked Natalya to the floor and distracted the referee while Asuka landed a dirty blow to ensure The Queen of Hart Foundation never got back in the ring before the count of 10.
Seth Rollins’ Sermon: The Monday Night Messiah delivered his first sermon to the masses, ensuring everyone that he would help the weak and punish the non-compliant. The Viking Raiders crashed the session by attacking AOP as Rollins and Buddy Murphy retreated up the ramp. Rollins ordered Murphy to go back to the ring and help his stablemates; Kevin Owens ran out and planted the Messiah with a stunner for a big pop.
AJ Styles’ Returns: Styles announced that The Phenomenal One is officially back while Anderson declared Styles as the new Mr. WrestleMania. Styles used Goldberg’s “who’s next?” catchphrase to call out Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, nWO and other Superstars of the past and present. AJ began hyping the Gauntlet Match for the Tuwaiq Mountain Trophy at WWE Super Showdown and Ricochet interrupted him.
Ricochet def. Karl Anderson: The OC member scored a close two-count off a boot and a Spinebuster only for Ricochet to recover and fire back with a vicious superkick followed by a 630 Senton for the pinfall victory.
Liv Morgan Promo: Backstage, Morgan addressed her beatdown at the hands of Ruby Riott, noting that she was excited to see her former bestie return but things have now changed. Morgan declared she’s no longer a puppy on a leash and vowed to eliminate Ruby from the Elimination Chamber match and punch her ticket to WrestleMania.
Kevin Owens & The Viking Raiders def. Buddy Murphy & AOP via DQ: Owens hit Murphy with a stunner and covered him for the pin to score the otherwise clean victory but Seth Rollins spoiled it by attacking The Prizefighter with the RAW Tag Team Title for the disqualification.
Rollins unloaded on KO as AOP neutralized The Viking Raiders to assist the Messiah in the beatdown. The Street Profits came to the rescue and the babyfaces cleared house. A humiliated Rollins yelled from the stage as Owens, Montez Ford, Angelo Dawkins, Erik and Ivar posed and celebrated in the ring.
WWE Raw Takeaways
1. The Riott Squad’s Showdown
Interestingly, while the biggest story for the women heading into Elimination Chamber is the fact that Shayna Baszler is looking to brush aside the competition and take on Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania, there is another interesting feud inside the chamber.
WWE has purposely put all three former members of The Riott Squad inside the steel structure and now Sarah Logan could be forced to choose her side.
2. The Street Profits
After months of being the comic relief on Raw, The Street Profits finally stepped up and took the ‘smoke’ that they had been asking for last night when they came out and attacked Seth Rollins and his disciples as part of the main event.
After weeks of Kevin Owens fighting against the Messiah, finally, this storyline may have turned a corner.
3. The Viper Has Returned
It’s been years since Randy Orton has unlocked the Legend Killer persona that first made him feared by the WWE locker room. It’s been made clear that the voices in Orton’s head are the ones forcing him to attack these stars and it could be leading to a full return of The Viper.
With Matt Hardy now out of the picture and Edge’s medical state unknown, who will be Orton’s next victim?
4. Women’s Tag Team Championships
Asuka was entered into Elimination Chamber to fight for a chance to face Becky Lynch at WrestleMania in just over a month’s time, which means that the Women’s Tag Team Championships will not be defended once again.
The title made it’s debut last year at Elimination Chamber but this year they continue to be overlooked since the last time Asuka and Kairi Sane put them on the line was at TLC back in 2019.
