Natalya came to the ring and made a statement by locking the champion in a Sharp Shooter.
  • Seth Rollins vs Dolph Ziggler ended in a disqualification when Brock Lesnar appeared and started attacking Rollins. • Raw Main Event: Samoa Joe announced that the Samoan Summit has been cancelled and he was there to fight. Roman Reigns came out and the two started a brawl. Drew McIntyre appeared and started attacking Reigns. When it looked like the numbers game was catching up to Reigns, Cedric Alexander rushed in to his aid. They were soon joined by The Usos and The O.C and it was an all out brawl. Eventually the heels were put down after Joe took superkicks from The Usos and a spear from The Big Dog.

Takeaways from Monday Night Raw

Gauntlet Is The Best, Gauntlet No.1

Seth Rollins’ face run was solidified in a gauntlet match last year when he kicked off 2018 with two clean wins over John Cena and Roman Reigns in an hour-long battle inside a Gauntlet Match. Kofi Kingston made a name for himself earlier this year after a stellar performance in a Gauntlet Match.

WWE brought back the format this week on RAW with the aim of creating new superstars. Andrade, Ricochet, etc. featured in the match and displayed their skills. Hopefully WWE continues such matches in the future as well.

The Beast Unleashed

Brock Lesnar demonstrated the annihilation which Paul Heyman promises each week. In a ruthless beatdown, Lesnar mercilessly ripped through his challenger Seth Rollins. Although The Beast destroying things is not a new thing, but this beatdown had a different feel to it and it was arguably the best Brock Lesnar has looked in quite some time. Lesnar can be made a legitimate threat to the entire locker room if he shows up regularly on Raw.

The OC Running Wild

Last week at RAW Reunion, the OC were made to look like chumps. WWE rectified their mistake and made Gallows and Anderson champions this week. With all the three members of OC holding titles, we could be in for a takeover of RAW by the three superstars. WWE must give them freedom to run wild on RAW, similar to how Undisputed Era is in NXT, and allow the stable to dominate WWE programming for months to come.

Superstar Showcase

In a very Attitude Era-esque ending to the show, several top superstars of RAW stormed the ring. Superstars including Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe and Drew McIntyre took part in a massive brawl in the final segment of the show which ended with Roman and Usos along with Cedric Alexander standing tall in the ring.

With Gallows and Anderson fighting against the Usos, it is quite possible we’ll see a battle between the OC and the Bloodline. AJ Styles and Roman Reigns renewing their rivalry along with Usos and Gallows-Anderson will be a fantastic sight on RAW.

League of Nations

An American, Canadian, Irish and Scottish women walk into a ring and try to kill each other! WWE has handled Cross-Bliss storyline surprisingly well and are integrating their relationship into the Becky-Natalya storyline. A Triple Threat at SummerSlam or a Fatal Four Way looks likely now, and many interesting developments will take place on the road to SummerSlam.
