The Miz is the new WWE Champion and Riddle holds the United States Championship; both title changes were set to have a major impact on this week’s episode of Raw and major implications on WrestleMania in 47 days.

Bobby Lashley Crashes The Miz’s Celebration

John Morrison kicked off this week’s episode of Raw by introducing The Miz into the ring which was filled with balloons and prepared for a party. After making it clear that he was the best thing in WWE at present, Miz was interrupted by Bobby Lashley, who is the real reason why he’s WWE Champion following Elimination Chamber.

MVP revealed that the terms of their deal were that because John Morrison cost him the United States Championship, The Miz is obligated to hand Lashley a shot at that title. The WWE Champion was full of excuses before Lashley told him that he has one hour to give him what he wants or he would be going to the Emergency Room.

Riddle def. John Morrison

Morrison was the man pinned in the triple threat match for the United States Championship last night at Elimination Chamber. Riddle was able to show off his submission side before hitting The Bro To Sleep. Morrison went for Starship Pain but was caught on the top rope and hit with The BroDerek in almost an action replay of last night’s win.

Backstage: The Miz looked for Adam Pearce’s help against Lashley, but the WWE Official told him that he needed to be a fighting Champion and that he should face Bobby Lashley.

The New Day def. Mace and T-Bar

The issues between Kingston and Ali continued and T-Bar and Mace could have picked up the win off Divine Justice but Ali wanted the team to do it again. Kingston was able to deliver Trouble in Paradise to both Mace and T-Bar for the win.

Braun Strowman Demands Title Shot

Adam Pearce called both Lashley and The Miz to the ring in order for The Miz to share his decision. Lashley was visibly annoyed that Miz was still in a suit before the WWE Champion claimed he needed more time.

Braun Strowman interrupted and made it clear that he wanted a WWE Championship match before Shane McMahon came out and looked to settle the issues. Strowman demanded a match against Miz before Shane declined. Instead, Strowman was handed a match against Lashley for later in the night where if Strowman wins, he will be handed a triple threat match with Lashley and Miz next week on Raw. Lashley then took a cheap shot at Braun as he left the ring.

The Hurt Business def. The Lucha House Party | Tornado Tag Match

These two teams have been feuding for several weeks, but after Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander were able to work together to pick up the win following Paydirt from Benjamin, it appears that the Raw Tag Team Champions could be moving on to a new feud.

Damian Priest def. Angel Garza

Garza recently joined forces with The Miz and John Morrison in their feud against Bad Bunny but paid for it this week as he took on The Archer of Infamy. It was another easy win for Preist, who was able to pick up the win following Hit The Lights. After the match, Priest was forced to protect Bad Bunny from several WWE stars who were looking to capture the 24/7 Championship.

Backstage: Randy Orton’s issues with The Fiend continued as The Viper looked to address his recent problems. Orton delivered a promo backstage before coughing up black blood similar to Alexa Bliss a few weeks ago on Raw.

Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax def. Charlotte and Asuka

The tension between Asuka and Charlotte reached boiling point as Charlotte cost her team the match when she accidentally delivered a big boot to The Empress. This allowed Jax to take advantage and pin the Raw Women’s Champion following a leg drop.

Sheamus def. Jeff Hardy

Despite enduring the Elimination Chamber just hours ago, Sheamus and Jeff Hardy collided in a match that saw Sheamus’ momentum continue when he delivered a Brogue Kick for the victory.

Backstage: Charlotte and her father Ric Flair had a lengthy heart-to-heart backstage where Charlotte made it clear that she wanted her father to go home and allow her to be herself without him.

Lana and Naomi def. Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke

Despite both teams being faces, Lana and Naomi took on Rose and Brooke in a short match as the two women continued to build momentum ahead of their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match against Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax.

AJ Styles def. Ricochet

These two men collided last month when Styles cost Ricochet his place in the Royal Rumble match, even though Ricochet was later added to the match. Styles looked to finish the match in the same athletic way, off the ropes, before Ricochet fought back but still fell to the Styles Clash. After the match, Omos got his first taste of the action when he delivered a choke-bomb to The One and Only.

Bobby Lashley def. Braun Strowman

The Miz watched on from commentary as the two men collided with a shot at the WWE Championship on the line for Strowman. The Monster Among Men almost got the win off the Running Powerslam, but in the end, it was Lashley who secured the win with a spear.

After the match, Lashley locked in The Hurt Lock on Strowman before The Miz looked to send a message, but he was also beaten down by The Almighty who has now secured a WWE Championship match next week on Raw.
