The penultimate episode of Monday Night Raw ahead of Survivor Series held a number of questions, the most concerning being the fact that Raw’s Survivor Series teams were still yet to be completed.
1 Miz TV Ends in a Brawl
This week’s episode of Raw began with The Miz and John Morrison on Miz TV so that The Miz could promote the new season of Miz and Mrs. The New Day were the scheduled guests for the show but it was Randy Orton who made his way out to the ring and made it clear that he wasn’t happy about wrestling alongside The Miz in the main event.
The Miz then noted that he wanted to be part of the Raw Tag Team Championship conversation. The New Day headed out and a brawl kicked off before Drew McIntyre could run out and jump The Viper.
The Miz attacked McIntyre from behind with the Money in the Bank briefcase before Orton then hit him in the face with the WWE Championship.
2 Survivor Series Qualifying Match: Riddle def. Elias and Jeff Hardy
The three men who had lost in qualifying in recent weeks were given a second chance to be part of Survivor Series in a triple threat match. Elias was the man who looked like he got the better of the opening exchanges.
Elias looked as though he had the win following the Drift Away, but the cover was broken up by Riddle. The end came following the BroDerek from Riddle which allowed him to qualify for Survivor Series.
Backstage: AJ Styles, Sheamus, and Braun Strowman reacted to Riddle being added to the Survivor Series team but noted that Styles was not the captain.
Backstage: RETRIBUTION talked about being forgotten on the company’s roster once again, while Mia Yim took a shot at Raw Women’s Champion Asuka.

MVP turned him down before he was then attacked by Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin. This then allowed R-Truth to cover the Champion and become a 43-time 24/7 Champion.
3 Shayna Baszler def. Lana

4 Riddle and Keith Lee def. Braun Strowman and Sheamus
AJ Styles headed to the ring and introduced team Raw now that the Survivor Series team is officially complete. Keith Lee, Riddle, Sheamus, and Braun Strowman all made their way out to the ring.
Riddle tried to give all of his teammates code names, but that didn’t go down too well. AJ Styles then announced a tag team match between Strowman, Sheamus, and Lee and Riddle with Styles as the special guest referee as a way to seemingly get all of his team on the same page.
Despite being the special guest referee, AJ Styles became involved in the match after being taken out by both Lee and Strowman, which forced Jordan Omogbehin to step up. The teams broke down when Sheamus Brogue Kicked Strowman off the ring apron and was then rolled up by Riddle for the win.
Backstage: Alexa Bliss was with Nikki Cross and the former teammates were no longer on the same page. Cross blamed herself for what happened to Bliss and tried to help, but Bliss didn’t want her help. Cross told Bliss to choose and she chose The Fiend.
5 United States Championship: Bobby Lashley def. Titus O’Neil
Bobby Lashley and MVP cut a promo after it was announced that Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin would be handed a Raw Tag Team Championship match next week.
The duo was interrupted by Titus O’Neil who was upset that he wasn’t allowed in The Hurt Business a few weeks ago. A match was then made between the two men for the United States Championship.
O’Neil tried to put up a fight but, after a spear, he was able to lock in The Hurt Lock for a submission victory.
6 Asuka def. Nia Jax via DQ
Ahead of the match, Nia Jax noted that after Survivor Series she was coming for The Raw Women’s Championship. Jax dominated The Empress as her Survivor Series teammates watched on from ringside.
It was a chaotic ending as Asuka locked in the armbar but, when Baszler tried to intervene, Lana got in the way. This then led to Asuka trying to roll up Jax but Baszler attacked and caused the DQ.
After the match, Lana was once again put through the announce table by Nia Jax. Nia then told Lana to quit because she doesn’t belong there.

9 Drew McIntyre and The New Day def. The Miz, Randy Orton, and John Morrison
Tensions were running high after the announcement that Orton would be forced to defend his title against McIntyre next week on Raw. Orton clearly didn’t want to be part of the match and refused to tag in.
McIntyre pushed for Orton to take the tag but The Viper refused and walked out. Randy remained on the ramp long enough to watch his team lose after McIntyre delivered a Claymore to John Morrison.
