WWE Raw Results, Oct 12: Night 2 of WWE Draft, The Fiend and Alexa Bliss Drafted to Raw

The 2020 WWE Draft concluded on this week’s episode of Raw, while the build-up to Hell in a Cell continued and Kevin Owens looked for some revenge when he faced Aleister Black in a No DQ brawl.

Orton-McIntyre Feud Continues

Randy Orton kicked off the show as the buildup to his Hell in a Cell match against WWE Champion Drew McIntyre continued. The Viper said that pinning McIntyre last week for the first time in almost a year is a sign of things to come before McIntyre interrupted.

The WWE Champion stated that he made a promise to “kick the crap out of him” every time they were in the same building and decided to remain a man of his word. The two men brawled around the ringside area before Orton was able to get away and crawl up the ramp.

Draft Round 1: Stephanie McMahon announced The Fiend Bray Wyatt as Raw’s first overall draft pick, followed by Randy Orton and Charlotte Flair. SmackDown was able to keep hold of Women’s Champion Bayley and gained the services of Raw Tag Team Champions The Street Profits.

No DQ: Kevin Owens def. Aleister Black

The feud between these two stars was finally put to bed in a no-DQ match that saw Black throw everything at Owens, but a Stunner followed by a powerbomb through a table was enough to see KO to victory.

Draft Round 2: The second round of the WWE draft saw Raw gain the services of Braun Strowman, Matt Riddle and Jeff Hardy while SmackDown kept hold of Daniel Bryan and gained Kevin Owens.

Miz TV With Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke, Lars Sullivan Attacks

John Morrison and The Miz were drafted to Raw on Friday night and kicked off their time on the red brand with an episode of Miz TV. Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke were the guests on the show and the feud between Miz and Rose continued.

The conversation regarding the Women’s Battle Royal later in the night came up and Lana and Natalya came out to add their opinion. The four women brawled with Brooke and Rose coming out on top.

Miz TV continued following the brawl but came to an abrupt end when Lars Sullivan invaded and attacked the two stars. Morrison tried to put up a fight but was another victim of The Freak who delivered a Freak Accident in the middle of the ring.

Backstage: Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods switched Championships with The Street Profits and became the Champions of their respective brand. Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler interrupted and set up a match against the Raw Tag Team Champions for later in the night.

Draft Round 3: Raw retained RETRIBUTION and Keith Lee and gained former Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss while SmackDown took on Lars Sullivan and King Corbin.

AJ Styles def. Seth Rollins and Jeff Hardy, Elias Returns

Seth Rollins came out to say farewell to Raw and looked to pass the torch before Jeff Hardy headed to the ring, much to the dismay of the Monday Night Messiah. Rollins looked to leave the ring before he was stopped by AJ Styles who told him it was never Monday Night Rollins anyway.

Jeff Hardy attacked both men as they argued and a triple threat match was announced.

It was a fantastic match between the three men that saw a number of near falls, but after Rollins was taken out with a Swanton Bomb, Elias returned. The Drifter hit Hardy with a guitar to help AJ Styles to pick up the win after already receiving a Twist of Fate.

Draft Round 4: Raw announced Elias, Lacey Evans, and Sheamus while SmackDown kept hold of both Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn and former Tag Team Champions Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura.

Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose def. Lana and Natalya

After the issues on Miz TV earlier in the night, this match was made and Rose and Brooke came out on top following an innovative tag team finisher. After the match, Natalya walked out on Lana seemingly ending their partnership.

Backstage: Ricochet asked for one more match against The Hurt Business where if he wins the feud is over but if he loses he joins The Hurt Business.

Angel Garza def. Andrade, Double Sister Abigail

Vega stated that after the show she was done with both men since she was now targeting the Women’s Championship on whatever brand she ended upon. Garza picked up the win after looking directly at Vega and delivering the Wing Clipper.

Vega mentioned Alexa Bliss on commentary and she made her way to the ring as The Fiend after the match and both stars delivered Sister Abigail to Andrade and Vega.

Draft Round 4: Raw took on Nikki Cross, R-Truth, and Dabba-Kato while SmackDown gained Robert Roode and Dolph Zigger as well as Apollo Crews.

Raw Tag Team Championship: The New Day def. Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode

Kingston and Woods set Roode and Ziggler packing to SmackDown after brushing the two stars aside with The Midnight Hour.

Backstage: Elias revealed that he was looking for Payback against Jeff Hardy after the star hit him with a car back in May. Elias also revealed that his new album “Universal Truth” will be released on October 26th.

Ricochet def. Cedric Alexander via DQ

Cedric Alexander returned to Raw and took on his former friend Ricochet with huge implications added to this personal bout. After MVP tried to get Alexander to use a chair, Ricochet was able to outsmart The Hurt Business by using Eddie Gurrero tactics to win via disqualification.

Draft Round 6: Titus O’Neil remained on Raw alongside Peyton Royce and Akira Tozawa while Carmella remained on SmackDown and was joined by Aleister Black.

Backstage: Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre brawled backstage.

Lana Wins Raw Women’s Title Opportunity

The Women’s Battle Royal got underway and Shayna Baszler helped eliminate her own partner and Nia Jax was so angry that she put Lana through the announce table.

Bianca Belair eliminated Shayna Baszler before The Riott Squad eliminated WWE’s EST. The match came down to Natalya and Lacey Evans before Nattie threw Evans against the steel steps and Lana appeared to eliminate her former partner Natalya. It seems that Lana was never eliminated.

The show ended with Drew and Orton continuing to brawl at ringside before the two men were separated by WWE officials.
