Retribution Interrupts The Fiend

The show kicked off with The Fiend and Alexa Bliss, who were interrupted by Retribution. The two sides had been part of several back and forths on Social Media in recent weeks and it was finally time for them to come face to face.

The five-man team made their way into the ring before the lights went down and Bliss and The Fiend disappeared.

It appeared that The Fiend had set up Retribution since The Hurt Business made their way to the ring and a brawl ensued.

The Hurt Business def. Retribution

When Raw returned from an ad-break, the eight-man tag match was underway. The two teams came to blows outside the ring mid-way through the match, when The Fiend appeared on the titantron.

T-Bar tapped to The Hurt Lock from Bobby Lashley before The Fiend appeared back in the ring and took out three members of Retribution at ringside.

Mustafa Ali attempted to run away and was saved by T-Bar who took a Sister Abigail on his leader’s behalf. The Hurt Business watched the beatdown from the ramp and Bliss was then shown to be on the screen the whole time.

AJ Styles def. Matt Riddle

AJ Styles made his way to the ring alongside Jordan Omogbehin who is now the bodyguard of The Phenomenal One of Monday Night Raw. Styles’ new bodyguard initially refused to leave the ring to allow the action to get underway and had to be begged by the official.

In the end, it was Styles’ new associate who was able to help the former WWE Champion pick up the win by distracting Riddle and allowing him to walk into a Styles Clash.

Baszler and Jax remained in the ring and cut a promo where they laid down a challenge that was answered by Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose, Lacey Evans and Peyton Royce, and The Riott Squad.

The Women’s Tag Team Champions were able to come out on top even when the odds were stacked against them and The Riott Squad returned from SmackDown. Evans and Royce were far from on the same page and in the end, it was a Samoan Drop on Lacey Evans that secured another dominant win for the Champions.

Jeff Hardy Spoils Elias’ Music Show

Backstage: Mustafa Ali confirmed that he was the man behind the SmackDown hacker. He stated that he knew a lot of secrets from the current crop of wrestlers and used this role to set RETRIBUTION free.

Backstage: Titus O’Neil wanted to be part of The Hurt Business but MVP decided that he wouldn’t be a worthy addition.

Tucker and El Gran Gordo def. The Miz and John Morrison

The Miz and John Morrison headed to the ring to see who Tucker had chosen as a partner and it turned out to be Otis disguised as a Luchador called El Gran Gordo. This led to an emotional promo from Miz who recalled stepping up as Mr. Money in the Bank while Otis has remained a joke. This led to a brawl and a tag team match between the two teams.

Mid-way through the match, R-Truth walked through the ring followed by Akira Tozawa, and caused the distraction. This allowed El Gran Gordo to pin The Miz following The Vader Bomb.

A Blissful Firefly Fun House

Bray Wyatt brought the Firefly Fun House to Raw and stated that he couldn’t wait to make more new friends. Ramblin’ Rabbit revealed that he had a wife and Wyatt said he would be a better friend. Mercy The Buzzard then ate Ramblin’ Rabbit again. Alexa Bliss was then revealed as the newest addition to The Fun House.

Braun Strowman def. Keith Lee

Strowman and Lee had their second showdown after the destruction that was left in their wake the first time around. This time there was a winner as Strowman came out on top after headbutting Lee in the crotch and delivering a big boot. After the match, Lee seemingly turned heel and got even with a low blow of his own.

Orton and McIntyre Hypes Up Hell in a Cell
