WWE Hell in a Cell left a number of lingering questions on Sunday night, but luckily this week’s episode of Raw boasted the chance for answers, with Drew McIntyre set to kick off the show and Randy Orton prepared to appear on “A Moment of Bliss.”

The Miz Interrupts Drew McIntyre

The former WWE Champion didn’t look best impressed as he made his way to the ring and cut a promo about the fact that he lost his title at Hell in a Cell. The Miz then interrupted and Drew McIntyre threatened to drop both Miz and John Morrison where they stood.

Miz and Morrison came out to brag about his win at Hell in a Cell and McIntyre was in no mood and headbutted The Miz before delivering a punch to Morrison followed by a Belly to Belly. The Miz and Morrison then escaped but the contract was left behind in the ring.

Survivor Series Qualifier: AJ Styles def. Jeff Hardy

The first Survivor Series qualifying match saw Jeff Hardy take on AJ Styles, but The Phenomenal One wasn’t happy that he was forced to qualify for a match that he should be the captain in.

Styles and Hardy both came over from SmackDown together a few weeks ago and had some history heading into this match. While it was Hardy who defeated Styles earlier in the year for the IC Championship, this time around it was Styles who had an advantage thanks to his new bodyguard.

After Styles was able to knock Hardy from the top rope, he threw him into the ring post and delivered the Phenomenal Forearm to qualify for the men’s Survivor Series team.

After the match, Elias attacked Hardy from behind with a guitar.

Backstage: R-Truth revealed that Akira Tozawa and The Lucha House Party would be in action and that he would be out at ringside scouting his competition.

Mid-way through the match, R-Truth made his way to the ring and disrupted the match which helped Lucha House Party pick up the win. Truth then ran out of the ring before he could be pinned.

Firefly Fun House

Bray Wyatt returned with The Firefly Fun House where the stars were portraying Alice In Wonderland. Alexa Bliss reappeared and killed Ramblin Rabbit with a cup of arsenic, before laughing about it with Wyatt. Wyatt then stated that they were all mad down there and Bliss had to be mad to have made it down there.

There was a glance at the painting of the fire that Randy Orton created after Bliss revealed that she would speak to Orton on “A Moment of Bliss” before Rabbit woke up and was then murdered again. Interestingly the numbers 19/11 were on Wyatt’s hat.

Elias came out to the ring to promote the release of his new album.

Survivor Series Qualifier: Keith Lee def. Elias

The second Survivor Series qualifying match of the night saw Lee take on Elias in the hope of being part of next month’s pay-per-view. After Elias’ actions earlier in the night, Hardy’s music hit mid-way through the match and was enough of a distraction for Lee to hit the Spirit Bomb to qualify for Survivor Series for the first time.

Jeff Hardy then hit Elias with a guitar from behind.

Eight-Man Elimination Tag Team match – The Hurt Business def. Retribution

MVP was the first man eliminated from the match when Reckoning was able to provide an interesting in-ring distraction. SlapJack was the second star eliminated, with a spear from Bobby Lashley. T-Bar and Lashley were then counted out as they brawled up the ramp and were eliminated as a result. Mace was eliminated following Paydirt from Shelton Benjamin which left Ali alone in a two-on-one situation.

Mustafa Ali hit Cedric Alexander with a chair to get himself disqualified and cost his team the match. The Hurt Business then headed to the ring to protect Alexander while Ali ran to the back through the ThunderDome.

Backstage: Angel Garza was looking to pick up both Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose before Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler arrived. Nia Jax seemed to allow his advances before the four women argued about who would be team captain at Survivor Series.

Drew McIntyre def. The Miz

Drew McIntyre was able to take out his frustrations on The Miz and at one point even threw the Money in the Bank contract up the ramp before hitting a Claymore on The Awesome One.

Backstage: Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston were dressed as The Street Profits and announced that at Survivor Series there would be a number of head-to-head matches. The Street Profits vs The New Day, Asuka vs Sasha Banks, and Randy Orton vs Roman Reigns were all officially announced.

Adam Pearce headed to the ring with Pat Buck and the Women’s Tag Team Champions to announce the Women’s Survivor Series team. Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler were the first names on the list, followed by Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke, the final place was then to be decided in a fatal four-way match.

Survivor Series Qualifier: Lana def. Nikki Cross, Lacey Evans, and Peyton Royce

Surprisingly, it was Lana who was able to come out on top when she took advantage of Peyton Royce pulling Nikki Cross off the top rope. Lana was then welcomed to Team Raw by being put through the announce table by Nia Jax for the sixth time.

Survivor Series Qualifier: Sheamus def. Matt Riddle

The final Survivor Series qualifying match of the night saw Sheamus come out on top after an impressive match against Matt Riddle. In the end, it was a Brogue Kick that secured Sheamus’ place in next month’s match.

A Moment of Bliss: The Fiend and McIntyre Target Randy Orton

Alexa Bliss welcomed Randy Orton on “A Moment of Bliss” and the former Women’s Champion made it clear that she was still under the control of The Fiend. Orton wanted to get his hands on The Fiend but it was Drew McIntyre who made his way to the ring and a brawl then ensued.

Alexa Bliss sat on the top rope and watched the brawl until The Fiend arrived and appeared behind Orton on the ramp. The Viper chose to head back into a brawl with McIntyre and the two men continued to fight to round out the episode.
