WWE presented their final build-up to Hell in a Cell with many matches expected to be added to the show. Roman Reigns was also set to reveal the implications following his Hell in a Cell match, while Otis’ feud with The Miz is set to be wrapped up.

The KO Show With Daniel Bryan

This week’s WWE SmackDown kicked off with an episode of The KO Show where Kevin Owens talked to Daniel Bryan and seemingly pitched that the two men unite to create a tag team. Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode interrupted and wanted to be named in the conversation before The Street Profits arrived.

Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura then made their way to the ring and a brawl ensued between all eight men.

The impromptu tag match got underway so quickly that Daniel Bryan had to head backstage in the ad break and change into his wrestling gear. While coming off the top rope, Bryan seemed to tweak his knee which then became a target for Cesaro. It was an injury that was worked throughout the match, but after Angelo Dawkins got the tag, he turned the match in his favor and his team picked up the win following a splash from Ford on Cesaro.

Law and Otis: Otis was taken to court by The Miz where his Money in the Bank contract was on the line. The Miz put his case forward before Otis went on to claim that he deserved the contract because he won the contract ladder match.

Backstage: The Street Profits, Kevin Owens and Daniel Bryan all celebrated their win before Sami Zayn spoke to him about not wanting to defend his title on a weekly basis.

Bianca Belair def. Zelina Vega

Belair made her in-ring debut on SmackDown against fellow newcomer Zelina Vega. The two women were no strangers to each other but the match was over fast, following a KOD.

Lars Sullivan def. Shorty G

SmackDown returned with Shorty G in the ring where he noted that he asked for the match against Lars Sullivan after failing to be drafted in the recent WWE Draft. It was another quick match for Sullivan that ended with The Freak Accident.

After the match, Shorty G told Kayla Braxton that he quit.

Backstage: Shorty G revealed that he quits being Shorty G and is going back to being Chad Gable.

Sasha Banks Forces Bayley to Sign The Contract

Bayley made her way to the ring and refused to sign the contract for her match against Sasha Banks at Hell in a Cell. Banks made her way to the ring with the contract in hand and locked Bayley in a steel chair until she signed the contract to make their match official.

Law and Otis: The show continued and JBL was about to announce that he ruled in favor of Otis since he had done nothing wrong until Miz gave him a briefcase. The A-Lister obviously bribed the judge but he went on to rule in Miz’s favor and order Otis to put his contract on the line this weekend at Hell in a Cell.

Seth Rollins def. Murphy

Throughout the match, Aalyah was shown watching backstage despite being asked to leave by her family. It appears that Murphy injured his shoulder when he missed Rollins on the outside, which gave him a weakness for Rollins to exploit. After a number of false finishes, the match finally came to an end when Rollins was able to hit the Curb Stomp on his former Disciple.

After the match, Rollins found a kendo stick and looked to use it on Murphy before Aalyah headed to the ring to help save Murphy. Dominik later came to save his sister before Dominik was then attacked by Rollins, and Rey Mysterio was forced to make the save.

Roman Reigns Announces Tribal Consequences

Roman Reigns headed to the ring to announce the tribal consequences of his match with Jey Uso at Hell in a Cell this weekend. Before Reigns could announce his stipulations, Jimmy Uso was shown backstage in his locker room.

Jey Uso was able to get the jump on Reigns with a steel chair before delivering a superkick and a splash. Reigns then announced that when he makes him quit he will be forced to acknowledge him in WWE and so will his family. He made it clear that if Uso quits and refuses to fall in line then his family will be forced to turn his back on him.
