WWE Starrcade 2019 Results: Rusev Stands Tall, Kabuki Warriors Retain

The Kevin Owens Show Starring Ric Flair, The Street Profits vs. The OC

WWE Starrcade began with “The Kevin Owens Show” featuring Ric Flair at the Infinite Energy Arena in Duluth Georgia. The Nature Boy cut a promo on Starrcade’s iconic history amidst some microphone issues.

Fans began chanting “We can’t hear you” which led to Kevin Owens lending Flair his mic. The 16-time World Champion put over the locker room as a family and referenced Starrcade as Dusty Rhodes’ creation. Flair then put over the 30 Superstars backstage and Owens showered him with praises.

Flair was about to “wooo” but The OC‘s Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson interrupted the party.

Gallows and Anderson disrespected Flair and opined that Starrcade should only feature the highlights of the careers of “the best mother-lovin’ tag team in the world.” Out came The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) to wrestle the bald duo in an impromptu tag team match.

Ford hit the frog splash on Anderson to ring in the victory for his team. Flair celebrated with The Street Profits.

Women’s Tag Team Championship: Fatal 4-Way Match

Reigning Women’s Tag Team Champions The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) walked out to their new music which gave a good look at how the match would end.

Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, Bayley, Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross all put up a great show and each Superstar had multiple moments to slap her opponents or taunt them throughout.

Finally, The Empress trapped Cross in the Asuka Lock to retain the tag team gold.

Rusev vs. Bobby Lashley (w/ Lana): Last Man Standing Match

The advertised match never happened and WWE did a great job in swerving fans and saving the matchup for a later date.

Lana cut a promo explaining how thankful she is for being together with boyfriend Bobby Lashley this holiday season. She pointed out that Rusev never appreciated her and there wouldn’t be any showdown between both men since she had already filed a restraining order in the Georgia Court against her soon-to-be ex-husband. The Ravishing Russian stated that The Almighty would gladly accept the victory via forfeit.

No sooner had the referee raised Lashley’s hand than Kevin Owens ran down to point out that the WWE Universe doesn’t care about their relationship and Lana no longer has her Russian accent. This led to another impromptu singles match between the former Intercontinental Champions.

The match ended in a disqualification after Lana brought a chair to aid her boyfriend and Rusev violated the restraining order to attack Lashley.

The Bulgarian Brute and The Almighty brawled at ringside; Rusev had the last laugh as he repeatedly hammered Lashley with a kendo stick followed by chair shots and a machka kick.

Here are the full results of everything that happened at Starrcade 2019:

  • The Street Profits defeated The OC (Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson)
