Bryan is forced to be involved in a downer of a match

Daniel Bryan and Miz were having an awesome feud but now it seems watered down and that highlights an important fact about the predicament Bryan finds himself in. Just imagine a heel Reigns facing Daniel Bryan.

Sadly, we got this match which was enjoyable as long Bryan and Miz were involved but the moment Maryse and Brie got involved, the momentum would all be lost. Bryan deserves so much more and so does the Miz. WWE is literally not realizing the value of what they hold in their hands.

Rousey prevails despite being less than 100%

This was a surprise of the night as the match kept swinging between great to ludicrous. Rousey proved that she has what it takes to be a pro wrestler. She masterfully sold her injuries and not being fully fit.

The ending was a bit unorthodox. Rousey put Bliss in an armbar but even before the move was completely locked in, Bliss tapped out which came across as childish rather than whatever WWE wanted it to be. However, it nicely ties up the whole situation and sets up things for Evolution.

The biggest surprise of the evening

WWE had booked themselves into a corner as far as the Universal Title picture is concerned. They did not want Reigns to lose and neither did they want Strowman to lose. A simple disqualification would not cut it and so they did what can be assumed to have been really expensive.

Brock Lesnar came back and destroyed both men and tied everything up neatly into a knot. The big question still remains as to how everything is going to pan out as we still do not have a clear plan for the championship. However, the night was fun and a great way to end the PPV.

Overall Review: This was an odd PPV that was okay at best. The IC title and the US title were not mentioned even in passing. The Bryan match was just about okay. No match ended up being a show stealer which was a big bummer. This was one of those PPVs where it seems like the creative team is on a vacation and we just hope that the red cage was a one off thing.
