WWE presented Monday Night RAW from Dallas, Texas this week and it was the first RAW episode with Paul Heyman as the Executive Director of the show. Although it was reported that Heyman and Eric Bischoff on SmackDown will not be making any immediate changes, the presentation of RAW this week felt different and much more engaging.

In his very night of creative control, we saw the debut of an exciting new charismatic tag team Street Profits, a major heel turn by AJ Styles who reunited the Club, Maria and Mike Kanellis getting some decent screen time, in a perfectly executed segment.

Men’s Singles Falls Count Anywhere Match: Braun Strowman vs Bobby Lashley. The show started off with the pre-announced Falls Count Anywhere match-up between Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley. The match had a lot of shenanigans and ended when Strowman drove Lashley right into the staging area, which set off several fireworks and sparks went off. The entire arena’s lighting was damaged and fans, including Corey Graves, chanted “Holy S**t!”. Result: No Contest

The aftermath of the match saw both Lashley and Strowman being taken on a stretcher into a local medical facility.

Men’s Tag Team Match: The next match was between the Viking Raiders and New Day, which ended quickly after Samoa Joe attacked Xavier Woods. A new match-up between New Day, with Kofi Kingston and Viking Raiders, with Samoa Joe took place. Result: Joe and Raiders won after Joe choked out Kofi Kingston.

Backstage: This RAW episode was filled with plenty of backstage segments. Drake Maverick brought his newly wed wife to the RAW episode, after which they were off to a honeymoon.

Backstage: AJ Styles and the Good Brothers had yet another backstage segment where Gallows-Anderson pumped up AJ Styles for his match-up against Ricochet for the United States Championship.

Cesaro faced off against No Way Jose in a match which never started after 24/7 champion R-Truth showed up as part of Jose’s conga line.

Backstage: Street Profits delivered a charismatic promo and announced their arrival on Monday Night RAW. Miz cut a backstage promo on his ‘two out of three falls’ match against Elias and warned Shane McMahon of Undertaker.

In-Ring Promo: Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre came out to cut their typical promo, before being interrupted by the Deadman himself! The Undertaker went on to explain his actions last week, when he returned to help Roman Reigns against the heel duo.

Backstage: Another backstage promo from Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans on Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch on how they’re going to win at Extreme Rules.

Women’s Singles Match: Lacey Evans vs Natalya. Result: Evans won after Corbin helped her with distractions keeping some momentum leading into Extreme Rules.

Backstage: Another backstage segment saw the Good Brothers taunt Ricochet, before AJ Styles slapped Ricochet in the face. Ricochet returned the favor and hyped their US Championship match set to take place in the main-event.

Men’s Singles Match: Miz vs Elias. Result: Miz defeated Elias in a 2-out-of-3 falls match-up after Miz won the final fall through the Figure Four submission. Their rivalry seems to be done now, and both should move on to bigger and better things.

Backstage: Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch cut a promo backstage on their match against Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans, before being interrupted by a returning Maria and Mike Kanellis. Maria challenged them to a match-up, and the power couple of WWE were quick to accept it.

Mixed Tag Team Match: Mike and Maria Kanellis vs Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. During their match-up, Maria exclaimed that she’s pregnant to save herself from Becky Lynch. Result: Becky Lynch instead attacked Mike and put in the DisArmHer to win the match.

After the match, Maria seemed to have broken up (on-screen) with Mike Kanellis after she claimed that Becky is a bigger “Man” than Mike.

Backstage: The Street Profits interrupt a Paul Heyman promo and show off some more of their exceptional mic-work.

A Moment of Bliss: Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross are scheduled for a Moment of Bliss, before Carmella interrupts them.

Women’s Singles Match: Carmella vs Alexa Bliss. Carmella urged Cross to get out of the toxic relationship with Alexa, and challenged Alexa to a matchup. Result: Carmella won under 10 seconds.

Women’s Singles Match: Carmella vs Nikki Cross. Result: Cross emerged victorious over the Princess from Staten Island via pinfall.

New 24/7 Champion: Drake Maverick is shown leaving for his honeymoon with his wife, and encounters R-Truth backstage. Drake defeats R-Truth for the 24/7 Championship, and leaves for his honeymoon with the 24/7 title!

Men’s Single Match for United Stated Championship: AJ Style vs Ricochet. Styles and Ricochet faced off in the main-event of RAW once again, with AJ Styles winning the match-up after the referee failed to see Ricochet’s foot under the rope. Other match officials interfered and the match was restarted after the commercial break. Result: Ricochet retains his title with a roll-up victory.

Major Heel Turn: Post match, AJ Styles snapped and attacked Ricochet with the help of Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, and RAW ended with Styles standing tall with the Good Brothers.
