SmackDown gets off to a weird start

If Shane winning the world cup was to make everyone angry then WWE has achieved their goal. Paige introduced Shane McMahon rather enthusiastically which did not go down well with the crowd. This all would then lead to nothing as the topic soon shifted to the Survivor Series teams.

Bryan being announced as the team captain felt great but soon the Miz was made co-captain. This could be great as the two do have great chemistry together and seeing the two work together for a change should be fun.

Shane McMahon in a heel role should also add some spice to the Survivor Series match as everyone on RAW would be itching to get their hands on him. Seeing him massacred by Braun Strowman would be a very therapeutic experience for the fans.

This was followed by a hilarious segment where Shane was picked as the third member of the team after which Bryan and Miz tried to smile awkwardly at each other. While this was not the most exciting start to SmackDown, it was pretty decent and we have no complaints.

We get a good tag team match for once

The Usos def. The New Day: The New day and the Usos put on a great exhibition of a tag match that had been sorely lacking on both shows. The action and near falls kept coming fast and thick and it was two teams operating at their best against each other.

The New Day came up short but the feel good factor was retained when the Usos selected the New Day as part of the Survivor Series tag match team. Even though this match came out of the blue without any build-up, it is new and could be exciting depending on how things move from here.

There were some hard-hitting spots and some painful looking bumps and these two teams have one of the best chemistry on the entire roster and it shows every single time.

Becky Lynch establishes her dominance

Becky Lynch def. Nikki Cross: Last night we complained how Rousey wasn’t great at delivering a convincing promo. Tonight we got to see what an actual promo looks and sounds like. You believed every word she said and there was an intensity that matched her words.

Rousey should be taking notes and hopefully the match ends up being so awesome that we don’t care about Rousey’s promo delivery. This was followed by more goodies as Nikki Cross made her main roster debut against Lynch when she accompanied Sanity.

The match that followed wasn’t very great. For some reason Cross seemed off-kilter and couldn’t quite sync with Lynch. We will reserve our judgment after we have seen her a few more times. Her crazy character does bring something new to the women’s roster and she could be like the mad woman who just loves creating chaos.
