*Note: These are just rumors. Some of these might get confirmed at some point of time and some others might just stay as rumors. Let’s take a look at the WWE rumor roundup of the week*
Nakamura And Wyatt Are Staying In WWE
There’s been a lot of recent speculation over Shinsuke Nakamura and Bray Wyatt‘s future in WWE. The Artist is one of many Superstars whom NJPW wants to bring back to Japan while the Eater of Worlds has been absent from WWE TV for several months.
As confirmed by Dave Meltzer, Nakamura “is not going back to Japan”.
PWInsider noted that Wyatt is scheduled to work the RAW house shows post-Christmas including the live event at Madison Square Garden on December 26, a clear sign that he is staying in WWE despite his recent tweets teasing otherwise.
Reason Behind Recent NXT Call-Ups Being Picked
It was announced on Monday Night RAW last week that 5 NXT Superstars have been picked for the main roster. Lacey Evans, Nikki Cross, heavy Machinery, EC3 will now join Lars Sullivan on the list of immediate NXT call-ups.
As reported by John Pollock of POST Wrestling, WWE was actively screening NXT talent with strong characters while leaving certain stars on the developmental brand to help sell tickets for its upcoming shows.
The 6 call-ups definitely offer a strong “shake-up” to the existing main roster roster but it remains to be seen whether WWE is able to utilize each of them properly to their maximum potential.
Darren Young Hinting At Potential WWE Return
Former WWE Superstar Darren Young recently spoke to The Roman Show where he hinted at a potential return to the promotion in 2019.
“Recently, I was just at WWE in L.A. and they invited me back with open arms. So, who knows? 2019, you may see me as an ambassador with the company. Just because moves aren’t being announced doesn’t mean moves aren’t being made.”
Young is still in great shape and although he failed to achieve success during his previous stint with WWE, given the “New Era” where Superstars won’t be choked and fans will see fresh faces and new matches, he could definitely return to the company and try his luck one more time.
Sami Zayn And Kevin Owens’ WrestleMania Plans
According to the latest tumors, WWE may have big plans for Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in the coming months as they are expected to be involved in a program together. This could lead to a singles match against each other at the Show of Immortals.
Kevin Owens has been out since undergoing knee surgery and was written off television following a beatdown from Bobby Lashley. Zayn has been out injured since Money In The Bank after undergoing surgery.
WWE has already started airing the return promos. Owens and Zayn are always special when they face each other and if they face off at WrestleMania 35, it could be one of the matches of the night.
