Natalya & Evans Were “Handpicked” By The McMahons
Natalya & Lacey Evans will square off together in the historic first-ever women’s wrestling match in Saudi Arabia for WWE Crown Jewel.
Per Brad Shepard, The McMahon Family had personally “handpicked“ The Queen of Harts and The Lady for tomorrow’s historic match in The Kingdom.
Eric Bischoff To Sign With QPW
Eric Bischoff is gearing up for his new adventure in the pro wrestling industry. After his recent firing from WWE, Uncle E will now travel to the Middle East to sign with Qatar Pro Wrestling (QPW).
Brad Shepard reports that Bischoff will attend the QPW SuperSlam 2 press conference next month.
WWE fired Bischoff owing to his inefficiency and lack of productivity as the Executive Director of SmackDown. The 64-year old icon was replaced by Bruce Prichard.
Bischoff is already scheduled to attend the QPW press meet in November which leads to the assumption that he’ll be free from his WWE contractual obligations (if any) by next week or so.
John Morrison To Drop Title For WWE Return
Reigning Middle East Champion John Morrison could be dropping his title ahead of his imminent WWE return.
Per Brad Shepard, Morrison is “officially signed” with WWE despite the ex-Superstar recently gunning down such reports.
Morrison’s WWE return is not a matter of if but when, and rumors suggest that he could be walking out to his music just in time for Survivor Series. Let’s see how soon the 39-year-old wrestler drops the QPW Souq Waqif Championship!
Original Idea For Paige’s Firing On RAW
This week on Monday Night RAW, Paige was fired from her managerial role by reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Kabuki Warriors.
Asuka blasted the former SmackDown GM with green mist as Kairi Sane burst into hysterical laughter.
According to Brad Shepard, Paige had come up with a different plan for her own firing – she wanted The Empress to apply the Asuka Lock on her but WWE medics wouldn’t allow her to get physical.
As previously reported, Paige was fired for the sole purpose of increasing the heel head on Asuka and Sane. Hopefully, WWE will allow her to stick on television in some way or the other if that’s what’s “best for business.”
Paige’s Possible In-Ring Return
Paige’s firing from her managerial role this week on Monday Night RAW could be part of a much bigger storyline. The 2-time former Divas Champion had sacrificed herself to get heat on heel Kabuki Warriors but there is more than meets the eye.
On PWInsider Elite audio, Mike Johnson speculated whether Paige’s shock firing is actually the foundation for her possible in-ring return.
“What if this was an angle to set up her potential return? I know she was medically disqualified to return to the ring, we’ve talked about that many times.”
“Daniel Bryan got an opportunity to return to the ring. She just had another neck surgery. Perhaps this is an angle to set up a return later in the year or early next year. Maybe she comes back for one last match. Maybe it’s a possibility.”
Only time will reveal whether Paige will have the opportunity to get physical ever again.
Adam Page To Turn Heel?
Adam Page failed to defeat Chris Jericho at AEW All Out. The match earned Jericho the AEW World Championship while Page walked out as an even bigger star.
While discussing the latest episode of Being The Elite on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Hangman could be set for a heel turn in the near future.
“They did a very subtle stage one where I got the impression — whether they do this or not, I don’t know, but they are teasing the idea of a Page turn.”
“Cody asked him essentially if he was thinking about turning, he didn’t use the word ‘turning’ but he basically said that. Cody goes, ‘I did that and it wasn’t a good idea.’ The Elite needs to stick together and they made a thing about how Cody has his own dressing room and The Young Bucks and Kenny has their own dressing room, but Cody goes, ‘You’re one of us, you can dress in my room. If you want to,’ and [Page] goes ‘I’m good.’”
This could be a slow build to Page’s major heel turn, but at the same time it’s worth speculating which wrestler could become the next possible member of The Elite if Hangman indeed quits the faction.
As ever, wrestling fans are reminded that the above are just rumors and should not be taken at face value as facts.
