Triple H Looking to Implement a New Show on WWE TV

WWE’s roster is bigger than it has ever been before with the company creating Raw, SmackDown, NXT, NXT UK, and 205 Live on a weekly basis. Despite the output of the company in recent years, there are still many members of the current roster who are not being featured on a regular basis.

According to a report by The Wrestling Observer, Triple H is looking to “implement some type of show” in order to get more ring time and exposure for several members of the current roster. It’s believed to be aimed at Triple H’s current NXT brand since there are many NXT stars who are not getting the exposure they deserve.

Drew McIntyre’s Win on Monday Night Raw Was a Genuine Shock Backstage

Drew McIntyre became the third WWE star in recent years to pick up the WWE Championship the week before Survivor Series which changed the main event of the show. McIntyre defeated Randy Orton in the main event of this week’s episode of Raw and according to The Wrestling Observer, this came as a genuine shock to many stars involved.

The site noted that “all the key players” thought that Roman Reigns vs Randy Orton would be the main event of this year’s Survivor Series until The Viper was pinned on Monday Night. This year’s Survivor Series will now see Reigns take on McIntyre in a hotly anticipated clash instead.

Rhea Ripley Set for Main Roster Call Up

Rhea Ripley has been someone that WWE Officials have pushed to the moon in recent years and despite being an NXT star, she has already defended the NXT Women’s Championship at WrestleMania.

It appears that Rhea Ripley has now accomplished all she can down in NXT and could be heading up to the main roster. Fightful reported that it wasn’t likely that Ripley would play any role in Survivor Series this weekend, but there could be a call up for the former Champion in the coming weeks.

Seth Rollins Expected to Return to WWE “Fairly Quickly”

This weekend’s Survivor Series show is expected to be Seth Rollins’ final WWE appearance before he heads off on paternity leave. The former World Champion is set to welcome his first child with fellow WWE star Becky Lynch in the coming weeks and has been granted some time off by WWE.

The Wrestling Observer noted that Rollins is expected to be back “fairly quickly” following his leave, while there are rumors that Becky Lynch could be part of next year’s WrestleMania. Vince McMahon reportedly wants Ronda Rousey and Lynch to face off on The Grandest Stage of them All in 2021.

Aleister Black’s WWE Future

Aleister Black hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since he was drafted over to SmackDown in October. Black’s wife Zelina Vega was fired from WWE last week and there have since been many rumors surrounding the former NXT Champion’s future with WWE.

According to The Wrestling Observer, Black asked to go to NXT but it wasn’t something that he asked directly and it was an idea what no one was interested in at the time.

”There were reports Aleister Black asked to go back to NXT and was turned down. That’s basically true as far as smoke and fire but not exactly true. We were told he didn’t directly ask and get turned down, but he did float the idea around and nobody seemed interested when he did.”

Zelina Vega Escorted Out of WWE Building After Being Fired

Zelina Vega was fired from WWE last week ahead of Friday Night SmackDown and the news was announced publicly just 15 minutes after Vega herself was informed.

According to The Wrestling Observer, Vega was made aware of the decision by WWE’s Senior Director of Talent Relations, Mark Carrano, and then asked to see Vince McMahon.

Vega was then informed that Vince McMahon didn’t want to speak to her and she was escorted out of the building. The site also noted that the final straw was the fact that Vega started an OnlyFans account which was seen as a breach of contract.

As ever, wrestling fans are reminded that the above are just rumors and should not be taken at face value as facts
