Bill Goldberg set to return at Summerslam

Goldberg is set to compete in his first PPV since WrestleMania 34 (excluding the Saudi PPV), when he takes on Dolph Ziggler at Summerslam next week, according to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Matt Riddle of NXT added fuel to the fire after he posted a picture of Goldberg and Ziggler, and wanted the officials to make it a triple threat match with him involved as well.

Goldberg returning could very well be a squash match to hype the audiences and bring in some casual fans for the PPV. It could also be an opportunity for Goldberg to wipe out any bad memories from his match at Super ShowDown against The Undertaker.

Becky Lynch to get a character change

WWE wants to make Becky Lynch’s character similar to how it was last summer. Becky Lynch’s phenomenal character arc began at Summerslam last year and continued until WrestleMania. WWE wants to go back to the last summer’s version of Lynch’s character, which was portrayed as a fighting individual as compared to the arrogant and cocky persona which she possesses currently.

Also, Becky Lynch is currently not scheduled to have a program with either of Stephanie McMahon, Charlotte Flair or Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 36, according to WON.

As ever, wrestling fans are reminded that the above are just rumors and should not be taken at face value as facts.
