Maria Kanellis Storyline Plans

This past week on Raw, Maria accused both Ricochet and Rusev of being the father of her unborn baby, seemingly as a way to frustrate her husband Mike Kanellis enough to make him a better wrestler. Sadly, he lost matches to both men, and according to PWInsider, the issues for Kanellis are only just beginning.

The report suggests that Maria’s pregnancy storyline could lead to an appearance on a prominent daytime talk show. WWE has been working behind the scenes to get The Maury Show on board, with Maury Povich expected to appear on Monday Night Raw in the coming weeks, and they recently sent out the following Tweet.

The Usos Are Set For A Return

The Usos haven’t been seen on WWE TV since the build-up to SummerSlam since it’s thought that the duo were being punished for Jimmy Uso’ DUI a few weeks before. Interestingly, their punishment seems as though it could now be over since reports now suggest that the former Tag Team Champions are ready to return to WWE TV, and will be available as soon as creative has a story for them.

WWE Commentators Now Have A New Rule?

The Miz fought Shinsuke Nakamura back at Clash of Champions for the Intercontinental Championship, knowing that a win would allow him to tie Chris Jericho for the record of nine reigns. Interestingly, the commentary team stated that a win would allow Miz to tie the record, but didn’t state that it was Jericho’s record.

According to The Wrestling Observer, the commentary team has now been banned from mentioning Jericho by name on programming, since the former star is now AEW World Champion.

Reason For Chad Gable’s Recent Push

Chad Gable was defeated in the King of the Ring finals earlier this week, but he was able to gain some revenge when he attacked Baron Corbin the following night on SmackDown Live. Gable has been the subject of a huge push over the past few weeks, to take him all the way to the finals of the 2019 King of the Ring, where he was considered to be a dark horse.

According to The Wrestling Observer, Vince McMahon is currently high on Gable which is why he was pushed to the finals of the tournament and his push is now expected to continue.

WWE Will Be Unveiling New Sets Following FOX Switch

SmackDown Live makes the move over to FOX Network next Friday night, which means that this coming week will be the last episode of the show before the changeover. According to WrestleVotes, this will also be the last week that WWE will use the current set, the company will reportedly debut a new set following the change of Network on both Raw and SmackDown Live to give both brands “an updated, fresh” feel.

Possible Plans For Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar made a shock return to SmackDown Live this past week and it appears that there could be some huge plans for The Beast once SmackDown Live makes its debut on Fox on October 4th. According to a report by The Wrestling Observer, Lesnar is expected to win the WWE Championship when he faces Kofi Kingston in less than two weeks’ time.

“When they announced Brock Lesnar for the [SmackDown Fox debut] you know things sort of just add up in the sense that you know Fox wants to be sports-like and Brock is like their legitimate athlete. So I could see Brock you know winning the title, I’m not saying he’s going to, but it feels to me going to Fox early on that Vince would rather have Brock as Champion than Kofi Kingston.”

As ever, wrestling fans are reminded that the above are just rumors and should not be taken at face value as facts.
