Aleister Black Reportedly Asked to Go Back to NXT
Zelina Vega was shockingly released from WWE ahead of last night’s episode of SmackDown, while her husband Aleister Black remains part of the company.
WrestleVotes recently shared an update regarding the former NXT Champion where it was noted that he had recently requested to go back to NXT but this was denied. Black was drafted to SmackDown as part of the recent WWE Draft but hasn’t featured as part of the show in over a month. There have been questions regarding Black’s WWE status since his wife was released from WWE yesterday.
Possible Reason For Zelina Vega’s WWE Release
Zelina Vega Tweeted that she supported unionization just minutes before her release from the company was made official. The former NXT star also recently started an OnlyFans account and was one of the stars that refused to hand over her Twitch account following the new update from the company.
According to a report by PWInsider, this was the main reason behind Vega’s WWE release, since the company wanted Vega to get rid of her OnlyFans account which is something that she refused.
WWE Has to Be Out of the Amway Center By December 5th
Over the past few months, WWE has made the Amway Center their new home for SmackDown, Raw, and Pay-Per-Views and have even created The ThunderDome. While the company wanted to be out of the ThunderDome before the end of the year, The Wrestling Observer is reporting that they have to vacate The Amway Center by December 5th.
At present, the leading candidate for the company’s new home is Tropicana Field until the baseball season gets underway next year.
Chelsea Green Injury Forced WWE to Change Finish of Match
Chelsea Green made her main roster debut last night on SmackDown as part of the fatal four-way match to qualify for Survivor Series. The former NXT star was taken out of the match following a stomp from Tamina and didn’t feature in the finish which saw Liv Morgan become the latest star to qualify for the team.
According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select, the plan was for Chelsea Green to go over in the match but following an injury, the women were forced to scramble the ending. Green later took to Instagram to reveal that she had suffered a broken arm as part of the match.
WWE Not Returning to Live Events Schedule Following COVID
WWE hasn’t been able to tour with their roster since March when they were forced to remain at The Performance Center and pre-record several episodes of their shows at a time.
In the months that have followed, WWE has released many of the stars responsible for their live events which means that the company would need to restructure their shows when they are able to bounce back from COVID. According to The Wrestling Observer, many stars have already been told that live events won’t be the same in the post COVID era.
“There is talent in WWE that has been told in recent contract negotiations that the old way of touring is not coming back, even if and when the country bounces back from COVID.”

Women’s wrestling has been boosted in several companies over the past few years, and the Women’s Revolution in WWE has allowed the women’s roster to make history several times. Dave Meltzer recently took to Twitter to tease that there was a huge announcement coming regarding Women’s Wrestling on Sunday.
Meltzer didn’t share any more details regarding the situation or which promotion was involved, but it seems as though this could be an announcement worth keeping an eye on.
As ever, wrestling fans are reminded that the above are just rumors and should not be taken at face value as facts
