WWE Rumor Roundup: Clash of Champions Title Changes, COVID-19 Outbreak at Performance Center, Peyton Royce Push

At Least One Title Change Expected at Clash of Champions

Clash of Champions takes place tomorrow night and already has a stacked card with every main roster WWE Championship on the line. At present, there are nine matches announced for the show with nine separate Championships on the line, but there is a belief that there will only be one Championship change.

CageSideSeats went on to note that it would be a surprise if there were any more than two Championships changing hands at tomorrow night’s event.

Reason for Peyton Royce’s Push in WWE

The IIconics split a few weeks ago and Peyton Royce has since been the member of the group who has come out looking like the most likely to challenge Asuka for the Raw Women’s Championship.

According to a report by an unknown star who spoke to WrestleTalk, one of the main reasons for Royce’s push is because the Australian star has a ‘tremendous attitude’ and she deserves every opportunity that will be coming her way soon. Royce has also been working on her craft at her husband’s training school where she also works as a coach.

Coach at the Performance Center Was Behind the Latest COVID-19 Outbreak

It was reported earlier this week that both WWE and AEW had suffered another outbreak of COVID-19 which has caused a number of setbacks. Reports also went on to state that WWE had been relaxed about their face mask policy ahead of the outbreak, which could have been one of the main reasons for the issue.

The Wrestling Observer is now reporting that it appears that a coach at WWE’s Performance Center was behind the most recent outbreak. Chelsea Green was one of the stars who noted that she had tested positive.

Melina Still Expected to Sign With WWE

Melina was linked with a return to WWE last week when Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that the former Women’s Champion had re-signed with the company that she left back in 2011.

Melina took to Twitter to deny the fact that she had re-signed with the company, but Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer noted that the fact that Melina felt the need to deny the report meant that there was something happening backstage.

Meltzer also noted that Johnson has an exemplary record when it comes to breaking news and that it’s likely that there is definitely something more to this story.

Jaxson Ryker Reportedly Removed From The Forgotten Sons

The Forgotten Sons haven’t been seen on WWE TV since Money in the Bank after Jaxson Ryker posted a controversial Tweet. Recent reports have suggested that WWE is looking to bring the trio back to WWE TV in the coming weeks, but according to Fightful, the group could return without Jaxson Ryker.

According to the report, Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler are still listed as members of WWE’s roster, but Ryker isn’t, which is an interesting development since it was Ryker who was the reason that the team was removed from TV back in May.

WWE Set to Crown an Undisputed Intercontinental Champion at Clash of Champions

Last night on SmackDown, both Sami Zayn and Jeff Hardy handed over their Intercontinental Championships and now both titles will be hanging above the ring as part of their ladder match at Clash of Champions.

According to a report by RingSideNews, this is because WWE is set to crown an Undisputed Intercontinental Champion on Sunday night. This will then end the dispute between Sami Zayn and Jeff Hardy over who the real Champion is.

As ever, wrestling fans are reminded that the above are just rumors and should not be taken at face value as facts.
