Seth Rollins Expected to Return at Royal Rumble

Following his unique elimination from the annual Survivor Series Elimination match, Seth Rollins was granted paternity leave so that he could take some time away from the company to spend with his daughter.

Roux was born just a week later and Rollins has since enjoyed his first Christmas as a parent alongside fellow WWE star Becky Lynch. Despite an announcement stating that The Messiah was set to return earlier this year, it’s now believed that Seth Rollins will be one of the surprise entrants in Sunday Night’s Men’s Royal Rumble match.

Randy Orton vs The Fiend Could Be Pushed Back to WrestleMania

Randy Orton sent quite the message to The Fiend back at TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs when he set the star alight to end their match. In the months that have followed, The Fiend has been absent but Alexa Bliss has continued the storyline with Randy Orton.

It was thought that the two men would collide once more as part of Royal Rumble pay-per-view, but The Wrestling Observer is now reporting that a Firefly Fun House match between The Viper and The Fiend could be pushed back to WrestleMania.

If The Fiend makes his return tomorrow night at Royal Rumble, then the company has several months to build the story into a Fun House match.

WrestleMania 37 Card is Reportedly Still Up in the Air

Royal Rumble begins The Road to WrestleMania, but it appears that the card for WrestleMania is still yet to be decided. According to a report by The Wrestling Observer, the only match that is currently locked in for the show at present includes Roman Reigns.

As of writing, Reigns’ opponent at WrestleMania is currently unknown and the rest of the card is still open to changes. WWE has just over two months and two pay-per-views before WrestleMania takes over, but it’s quite late in the game for the company to not have an overall plan for their biggest event of the year.

Brock Lesnar is Not Currently Scheduled to Be Part of Royal Rumble

One of the biggest theories heading into the Men’s Royal Rumble match is that Brock Lesnar could make his return and win the match to set up a showdown with Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania. The Beast hasn’t been seen since his loss to The Scottish star back in April last year and isn’t currently contracted to WWE.

Lesnar’s contract expired following last year’s WrestleMania appearance and according to The Wrestling Observer, the former World Champion isn’t currently scheduled to be part of the show.

“The only thing we do know is Lesnar is not under contract nor scheduled for the show at this moment.”

Chelsea Green Set for In-Ring Return

Chelsea Green suffered a broken wrist as part of her SmackDown debut back in November and has been sidelined in recent months. The former NXT star was set to win the fatal-four-way match that she was part of ahead of the injury and WWE reportedly had some big plans for the star.

According to a report by Fightful Select, Green is nearing her in-ring return and has been spotted several times at WWE’s Performance Center. There is no exact date on Green’s return to the ring but it is expected to be sooner rather than later.

Goldberg Reportedly Forced to Use Jackhammer on Bray Wyatt in Saudi Arabia

Goldberg defeated The Fiend in Saudi Arabia back in 2020 to win The Universal Championship. The WWE Hall of Famer clinched the title with a botched Jackhammer on Bray Wyatt which was reportedly Vince McMahon’s idea.

According to a report by Fightful Select, Vince McMahon was adamant that Goldberg use the Jackhammer to win the Championship even though Goldberg had a banged-up shoulder at the time.

“Goldberg actually wasn’t gung-ho on the idea of doing the Jackhammer to Bray Wyatt during their 2020 match as his shoulder was banged up.”

As ever, wrestling fans are reminded that the above are just rumors and should not be taken at face value as facts
