In September, then-NWA Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa won her AEW Dynamite debut match against Serena Deeb in striking fashion. 56 days later, Deeb got her retribution as she dethroned Rosa to win the NWA Women’s Title on UWN Primetime Live.
Dave Meltzer reports that both AEW and WWE are interested in signing Rosa. The title change was almost a lock, and a bidding war for the 34-old-star could happen sooner than later.
Deeb’s victory over Rosa last night means that The Anti-Diva will bring the NWA Women’s Title to AEW. It remains to be seen if AEW books Deeb for an exciting title defense at Full Gear.
While Rosa’s 277-day title reign did come to an end, she might get another shot at the gold if she does indeed ink a deal with AEW.
Earlier this year, Rosa launched her brand new all-women promotion in Central Texas called Mission Pro Wrestling.
