WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view boasted the main event of Bray Wyatt versus Seth Rollins inside the Hell in a Cell structure for the Universal Championship. The match ended via referee stoppage after it was made clear that Wyatt wasn’t defending himself and Rollins was prepared to go to shocking lengths to retain his title.
The ending to Hell in a Cell didn’t go down well with the WWE Universe in attendance and fans on Social Media, which according to a report by Tom Colohue of Sportskeeda, lead to a “tense” meeting between Vince McMahon and Paul Heyman this past week ahead of Raw.
Speaking on the latest edition of Dropkick DiSKussions, Colohue revealed that McMahon and Heyman were not happy about the reaction to their Hell in a Cell main event.
“Paul Heyman, in charge of RAW, was obviously in a production meeting with Vince McMahon, in which they were deciding how RAW was going to go. They laid out earlier that they would work on it from there. Paul Heyman was not happy with that situation. I don’t think Vince McMahon was very happy with that situation as a result,” he said via Sportskeeda.
This week’s Raw didn’t feature Wyatt or Rollins, something which McMahon and Heyman obviously discussed and then decided not to mention it at all on air.
“I know it was a tense moment in the production meeting where they just had to have that discussion [how to book Rollins and Wyatt], clear the air a little bit and decide where they’re going next. I don’t think not mentioning it was the right way, personally.”
The WWE Draft takes place tomorrow night through until Monday Night Raw on October 14th. Rumors have suggested that a number of interesting names could be moved in the Draft and Bray Wyatt could be one of them.
