WWE began filming WrestleMania 36 yesterday and will wrap things up by midnight as soon as the stay-at-home order goes into effect. The 36th edition of the Show Of Shows is being produced from multiple “undisclosed locations” without an audience in attendance and will air as a two-night event on April 4th and 5th.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez reported that WWE has already taken care of the “big matches” for the grand PPV.

“WRESTLEMANIA IS TAPING RIGHT NOW AND THE IMPRESSION I HAVE BEEN GIVEN IS THAT A LOT OF THE BIG MATCHES HAVE ALREADY BEEN TAPED. I’M PRETTY SURE THAT THEY’RE GONNA BE ALL DONE BEFORE THIS STAY AT HOME ORDER BEGINS. THEY’RE GOING TO HAVE EVERYTHING DONE UNTIL THE RAW AFTER WRESTLEMANIA.”

While reflecting on the possibility of WWE returning to Tampa for WrestleMania 38, PWInsider noted that WWE isn’t thinking that far ahead at the moment – everyone is simply focusing on getting through Wrestlemania 36 before addressing the next steps.

“EVERYONE I SPEAK WITH IN THE COMPANY IS IN ‘GET THROUGH WRESTLEMANIA AND THEN TAKE IT FROM THERE’ MODE.

Rey Mysterio and Dana Brooke were recently reported to be in quarantine just two weeks ahead of WWE’s biggest pay-per-view of 2020, WrestleMania 36.

Mysterio’s rumored match with United States Champion Andrade was canceled; instead, WWE has booked El Idolo and Angel Garza vs. The Street Profits for the RAW Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania. Similarly, Brooke was pulled from the Six-Pack Elimination Challenge for the SmackDown Women’s Championship and WWE changed the matchup to a Fatal 5-Way title showdown. Further reports suggested that Brooke wasn’t feeling well and the company sent her home last week.

Now, Tom Colohue of Sportskeeda has come up with a completely different report that claims neither Mysterio nor Brooke is in quarantine. In fact, the two Superstars have apparently self-isolated themselves as a precautionary measure to tackle the coronavirus.

“It was reported on the Wrestling Observer that Rey Mysterio was not on the show this week due to being quarantined, that was also mentioned for Dana Brooke. To my knowledge, Rey Mysterio has not been quarantined due to having coronavirus. To my knowledge, he is simply self-isolating and I believe that is also true with Dana Brooke.”

“When information like this starts to surface, we need to be careful of what we’re saying. I’m not aware of Rey Mysterio and Dana Brooke being ill at this time.”
