WWE has conducted Superstar Shakeups every year since 2017 after WrestleMania, but the current pandemic situation has forced WWE to either delay or cancel that move altogether this time around.
However, this hasn’t prevented WWE from making silent trades between the two shows, as AJ Styles moved back to SmackDown, while Mustafa Ali was reportedly moved to the red brand this week. Ali is yet to debut on the red brand, and it hasn’t been confirmed by the company yet.
According to WrestleVotes, Dolph Ziggler will be the next name moving to the red brand, as part of the Styles trade. Ziggler is currently in a feud with Otis over Mandy Rose, but it seems that WWE is going to drop it pretty soon.
Ziggler moved to RAW as part of the Shakeup in 2018 and formed an association with the current WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, which lasted for throughout the calendar year.
After his loss to McIntyre in a steel cage match, Ziggler disappeared from RAW and joined Smackdown in May 2019.
Ziggler could be moving to fill in the void left by Jinder Mahal, whose unexpected injury shook up WWE’s plans. Ziggler hasn’t had a title feud in several years, but a short feud with his former buddy McIntyre could be in works.
Ziggler could also lock horns with current United States Champion Apollo Crews, as there is history between the two from their time in SmackDown Live.
