WWE may have presented NXT as their third brand since the Wednesday Night Wars began last October, but WWE is still using the black-and-gold brand to groom wrestlers for their eventual turn to the main-roster.
Matt Riddle is seemingly confirmed for a run on the main roster and could debut on the blue brand as early as tonight, but he won’t be the only NXT star moving up.
It was reported that WWE is planning to bring more wrestlers from NXT to the main roster, and WrestleTalk has mentioned Dominik Dijakovic to be the next name headed to either RAW or SmackDown.
Dijakovic has had several great performances in NXT over the past few months but wasn’t able to get major wins. Dijakovic’s last match was against the new-look Johnny Gargano, which could possibly be his final hurrah on Wednesday nights.
The 33-year-old superstar joined NXT in 2017 and had a rise to the top late last year when he joined Team Ciampa in the War Games match. He’s had a great feud with the current North American Champion Keith Lee for several months, but the Limitless Lee has got the better of him every-time.
With WWE getting rid of several talents on the main-shows last month, they could be bringing new talents like Riddle and Dijakovic to take their place.
