Erick Rowan’s Status After Appearance on AEW Dynamite This Week

Erick Rowan and Brodie Lee (fka Luke Harper) worked in WWE as The Bludgeon Brothers. Together, Rowan and Harper won the NXT Tag Team Championships and SmackDown Tag Team Championships in WWE.

Both men were also part of the cult faction, ‘The Wyatt Family’, led by Bray Wyatt.

This week’s AEW Dynamite was a tribute show to Brodie Lee. During the match between The Dark Order and The Inner Circle, Wardlow tried to interfere, but Erick Rowan (now know as Erick Redbeard) made his way to the ring and saved the day.

With the help of an Iron Claw Chokeslam, The Dark Order successfully won the match against The Inner Circle. Fans are now wondering whether Tony Khan has signed Redbeard or not.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AEW has not signed Redbeard as of yet. However, Dave Meltzer did indicate that things could change in the future as they have in the past.

“Regarding Erick Rowan, his deal was just to make a special appearance on the Brodie Lee tribute show as a surprise. Obviously, anything can change in the future.”

This week’s Dynamite drew 977,000 viewers and reportedly, over a thousand fans attended the show live, with walk-up tickets being sold for as low as $20.
