ESPN Reportedly Done With WWE After NBCU Deal

WWE and NBCUniversal announced their new partnership under which the NBCU will get streaming rights to the WWE Network in the United States from March 2020.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Live recently reported that this new deal with NBCU’s Peacock has ended any relationship of WWE with ESPN.

ESPN is owned by Disney and the multi-billion dollar media company was once rumored to buy WWE. Meltzer also said that ESPN was trying to get the WWE Network deal too but in the end, WWE inked a deal with NBC.

Reportedly, ESPN has now stopped the coverage of any WWE related content on their platform. The deal with NBCU, as reported by The Wall Street Journal, is a five-year deal worth $1 billion.
