Brock Lesnar was crowned as the new WWE Champion during the SmackDown debut on FOX this past Friday and that’s just a fraction of the enormous privileges that he widely enjoys under his current WWE deal.
Ever since his return to WWE in 2014, The Beast has been pretty much ‘bulletproof’ – he gets what he wants when he wants and gets away with basically anything and everything. Furthermore, Lesnar also enjoys the biggest paycheck among Superstars, legends and other talents despite working a limited schedule for the last 5 years.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that Brock has absolute power and creative control over Vince McMahon in WWE. The CEO does run the billion-dollar promotion, but at the end of the day, it’s The Beast who calls the shots and decides his future in and out of the ring.
“Whether he’s a babyface or a heel, Brock’s only going so far for the team. Brock’s not gonna like… when it comes to Brock and Vince, people hate this, but when it comes to Brock and Vince — Brock is the one who calls the shots, not Vince and Brock can get away with anything and people hate hearing that. In the end, it’s still Vince’s company, but Brock isn’t doing anything that Brock doesn’t want to do.”
The most decorated athlete in combat sports, Lesnar, also decides when he wants to lose and also has the authority to nix a storyline or program before it even begins!
“Every program, when he loses he wants to lose… every program, that’s just how it is you know it’s an interesting thing.”
It’s quite interesting to note how Brock enjoys absolute privileges in WWE while the rest of the locker room only dreams of such creative control and power.
Truth be told, Lesnar is simply untouchable – his illustrious career accomplishments are unmatched, he’s been a mega box-office attraction for years, and the list goes on. This may sound harsh, but the supreme power and ground that Brock enjoys in Vince’s WWE are absolutely justified.
