WWE has over 110 talents across RAW, SmackDown & NXT of which 4 top Superstars are currently sidelined with injuries – Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy, Lars Sullivan and Aleister Black.
Samoa Joe has been making sporadic appearances on Kickoff Shows despite dealing with a broken thumb. The Samoan Submission Machine was drafted to Monday Night RAW during the 2019 Draft.
Fightful Select reports that Joe is listed with a December return date although nothing is set in stone.
“Samoa Joe is listed as ‘returning’ in December. This is hardly a guarantee.”
Jeff Hardy suffered a knee injury in April and had to undergo surgery. During his rehab, Hardy has been arrested twice – for public intoxication in July and for driving while impaired in October.
Per Fightful Select, The Charismatic Enigma is dealing with “personal issues” and was initially expected to return this month.
“Despite being expected back in November, Jeff Hardy is not listed for a return as he’s taking care of his personal issues.”
Lars Sullivan received a huge push upon his main roster debut in June but all plans faded to black a couple of months later when the behemoth suffered a knee injury and was due for surgery.
Fightful Select noted that The Freak is recovering much slower than expected. At this rate, he is reportedly expected to return in the Summer of 2020.
“We’re told that his knee injury recovery is progressing slowly, even slower than some he’s experienced in the past.”
Aleister Black was moved to RAW as part of the 2019 Draft but hasn’t wrestled since July owing to a knee injury.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Black’s injury isn’t serious although there’s no timetable for his return just yet.
“Black is currently out of action with a knee injury that was described as a tweak”
