Interesting Update Regarding Edge’s Return To WWE

Edge shocked the world back in August when he returned in his home state of Toronto and speared Elias on the kickoff show at SummerSlam. This was the first physical act that Edge had performed in a WWE ring in more than eight years since he was forced to retire from the ring back in 2011 when it was revealed that he was struggling with Cervical Spinal Stenosis.

In recent months it has been revealed that the WWE Hall of Famer has been cleared to make a return to the ring, which could be why he has been negotiating with both WWE and AEW about a return to the action.

Even though Edge has shot down all of the reports that linked him with a WWE return as part of a post on Social Media on Friday, PWInsider is reporting that The Rated R Superstar was in Pittsburgh today on “WWE Business.”

There are no further details linked to the report, but it’s thought that this could be to do with his in-ring return since Pittsburgh is where WWE doctor Joseph Maroon is based.

Edge quit his regular spot on the Edge and Christian podcast back in September, which means that the former World Champion could be planning to get back on the road with WWE in the near future.

Ever since his retirement, Edge has decided to ply his trade in the acting world instead, but he could now be about to return to the road with his wife, but this could include a number of meetings with doctors before WWE can sign him to a new contract.

Edge’s wife Beth Phoenix has been working with WWE for a number of years and is now in a great position since she’s a commentator on NXT alongside Nigel McGuiness and Mauro Ranallo.
