Ivar of Viking Raiders Might Need Surgery Following Injury on Raw

This week on Monday Night RAW, Ivar of Viking Raiders took a bump that caused the former Tag Team Champion to raise the X sign on himself.

It’s quite evident that Ivar is injured but the matter could be worse than initially thought.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer shed light on Ivar’s injury. It’s unclear how bad the injury is, but Warbeard might need surgery.

“Nothing is for sure, but it has not been determined whether or not he will need surgery. It’s a significant injury, once you say that it tells you that it’s not like a stinger where you’re gonna come back in two weeks. It’s probably a lot worse than that. So, it’s not determined yet, but it’s absolutely as of today a possibility.”

Cedric Alexander’s shock heel turn on Monday night caused Viking Raiders to step in and aid Apollo Crews and Ricochet in their battle against The Hurt Business.

However, things didn’t end too well for the babyfaces – The Hurt Business scored a victory over the joint forces of Erik, Ivar, Ricochet, and Crews as Cedric pinned The One & Only for the win.

It remains to be seen what Ivar’s injury means for Erik and their ongoing feud with The Hurt Business.
