Former IMPACT Heavyweight Champion and TNA legend James Storm is now a free agent, according to Fightful. Storm’s contract with NWA expired in February this year, and the star is free to sign with a promotion of his choice.
Storm was an integral part of TNA for more than fifteen years, before leaving the company to participate in the independent promotion, and eventually signing a deal with NWA last year.
Storm is a multi-time tag-team champion and was part of several high-profile feuds during his time in Impact. He is famous for his Beer Money tag-team partnership with current WWE star Robert Roode.
With Storm’s contract expiring, IMPACT and AEW are the two prime destinations for the 43-year old star.
AEW seems to be on good terms with NWA, with NWA Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa and Ricky Starks appearing on AEW programming.
The Cowboy James Storm is currently the tag-team champion in NWA along with Eli Drake, which will most likely be forfeited once NWA Power resumes their tapings.
