Jeff Cobb has reportedly signed a deal with New Japan Pro Wrestling, according to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Cobb revealed that he has signed a deal with a wrestling promotion before the COVID-19 pandemic, but didn’t reveal the name of the promotion.
Fans wondered about the possible destination for the Hawaiian Hulk, who revealed that WWE had contacted him for a deal.
Cobb also made appearances for All Elite Wrestling earlier this year but didn’t sign a full-time contract with the company.
Cobb has exclusively worked for NJPW since their return to programming in June, and is all set to compete in the legendary G1 climax.
Meltzer noted that Cobb used Ring of Honor as a stepping stone to NJPW, which was always his end-goal.
He also noted that Cobb previously turned down a deal from AEW in favor of NJPW.
